Quranic Erroneous Science and Contradictions! This essay with some samples of Quranic contradictions and erroneous science has been prepared to rebut wishful Islamists who are claiming science in Quran. Qur’an has numerous scientific flaws, historical, ethical, and logical contradictions, though Mullahs and many western educated Islamists always claim that Quran is infallible and immutable words of God. To disprove their dishonest and deceitful claim—I have compiled some Quranic contradictions and serious scientific flaws in this essay by using authentic Quranic verses and Sahi hadiths, hence categorically proved that Qur’an was man made book. All wishful apologists usually take selective (pick & choose) verses, taking part of the verse, sometimes by changing the actual words, adding non-existing words etc, they intentionally twist or manipulate the commonly accepted meanings of verses—to prove science in Quran. As usual, these wishful Mullahs do search for the different meanings of the Arabic words and take the meaning which comes close to their justification, even though, actual sentence construction did not relate that chosen meaning/word at all. Maurice Bucailee and Prof. Keith Moore did exactly what I have just described above. Translation and interpretation Problems Mullahs and most blind defenders of Quran usually blame the translation of Quran from original Arabic. They will say, translator distorted the verse/verses which was correct in it’s original Arabic etc. And they will insist that, certain verse or verses are only understood by Allah Himself, and human being have limited knowledge, so they should not understand Allah’s mystery (Qudroot). And they will insist that Quran should be read with the help of Tafsirs (interpretations) by famous Islamic scholars. But, interestingly Allah told the different things in Quran. Allah asked Muslims to believe Quran’s literal meaning and clearly forbade any interpretations of Allah’s eternal divine words. Quranic verse: 3:7—clearly prohibited to accept anybody’s interpretation of Allah’s eternal words. Please read this verse below: [Quran-3:7] “He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are clear and decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding.” Allah says in Quran that, “I made Qur’an very clear, simple and easy and written in Arabic (44:58, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40) so that Muslims (Arabs of course) can understand very easily?” Please listen what Merciful Allah says in Qur’an: “ But We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? (54:22); and “We have made it a Qur’an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand and learn wisdom (43:3)”. Allah emphatically declared that He made Quran very easy so that Muslims can understand very easily. No where in the Quran Allah says that my words must be read with the help of Quranic interpretations and commentaries! Quranic Interpretations and Tafsirs have been invented by some wishful educated Mullahs only to hide Quranic absurdities and contradictions. In fact, Quranic verses are mostly simple to understand and any elementary student can understand very easily. Therefore, claiming that Quran is difficult to understand is ludicrous and lame excuse only to hide Allah’s myriads of inanities and flaws. Below, I have produced some actual and internationally accepted translated Quranic verses (without any change by me) to prove that, Quran do not have any scientific theory as some apologists claim. Rather, Qur’an contains many historical, ethical, logical contradictions and myriads of scientific flaws. [Special note: Quranic ayats were taken from Maulana A. Yousuf Ali’s English translations of Holy Quran. Maulan Yousuf Ali’s translations are internationally accepted as authentic & unbiased. Some of the recent Quranic translation has biased interpretations and word changing (pick & choose) to match with the utopia of science in Quran. Readers may be informed that, the Quranic translation by Maulana A. Yousuf Ali is considered most reliable & Authentic by most Islamic Scholars throughout the world. Hadiths were taken from Bukhari Sharif (Sahih).] (1) God created the Heaven first or, the Earth first (?) Which one was created first? As you will see in the verses below, Allah at one time says that Earth was created first and another time He says that the Heaven was created first. [Quran-2:29]: It is He who hath created for you all things that are on Earth; THEN He turned to the Heaven and made them into seven firmaments (Skies)…. [Quran- 79:27-30]: Are you the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built ? He raised the height thereof and ordered it; and He has made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morning thereof. And after that, He spread (flattened) the earth. Now, does it match modern science? Do you believe that, Earth was created first, and after that, God created Heaven? Does modern science tell us that? (2) Numerical contradictions There are many numerical contradictions in the Quran. God cannot make an error in doing simple calculations. Your guardian-Lord is Allah who created the heavens and earth in Six Days [Quran 7:54] Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in Six Days [Quran 10:3] He it is Who created the heavens and earth in Six Days [Quran 11:7] He Who created the heavens and earth and all that is between, in Six Days [Quran 25:59] The above verses clearly state that God (Allah) created the heaven and the Earth in 6 days. But the verses below stated: Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in Two Days ? [Quran-41:9] He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firm high above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR DAYS… [(Quran- 41:10] So He completed them (heavens) as seven firmaments in Two days and… [Quran-41:12] Now do the math: 2 (for earth) + 4 (for nourishment) + 2 (for heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days. Quran 4:11-12 and 4:176 state the Qur’anic inheritance law. When a man dies, and is leaving behind three daughters, his two parents and his wife, they will receive the respective shares of 2/3 for the 3 daughters together, 1/3 for the parents together [both according to verse 4:11] and 1/8 for the wife [4:12] which adds up to more than the available estate. A second example: A man leaves only his mother, his wife and two sisters, then they receive 1/3 [mother, 4:11], 1/4 [wife, 4:12] and 2/3 [the two sisters, 4:176], which again adds up to 15/12 of the available property. In these verses above one can see the total property after adding all distributed parties adds up more than the available property, i.e., totals become more than 1 which are: 1.125 and 1.25. How come? A gross mathematical errors, is not it? Let us examine Allah’s mathematical genius once more in different fashion: Man dies leaving behind Woman dies leaving no descendants or ascendants Woman dies leaving no ascendants or descendants and no brother Man dies leaving behind: Adding all distributed properties add up more than the available property, i.e., total becomes more than 1 which are: 1.125, 1.5, 1.33, and 1.25 respectively. Surely, Allah’s mathematics was really divine!!! Verily a day in the sight of the Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. [Quran 22:47] To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be a thousands years of your reckoning [Quran 32:5] The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a day the measure whereof is Fifty thousands years. So, which one is it ? Is the day of Allah equal to 1,000 earth years or 50,000 earth years? [Quran-70:4] The Koran teaches us that the Sun sets in a muddy spring “Till, when he (the traveller Zul-qarnain) reached the setting-place of the Sun, he found it going down into a muddy spring…” [Quran-18:86] “Till, when he reached the rising-place of the Sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had appointed no shelter from it.” [Quran- 18:90] There are serious scientific errors here. Firstly, it is scientifically accepted fact that, the Sun never goes down in a muddy spring or clear spring. Secondly, this seems to presuppose a FLAT Earth, otherwise how can there be an extreme point in the West or in the East? A sunrise there would be basically just the same as at any other place on this earth, at land or sea. It would still look as if it is setting “far away”. It does say, that he reached THE PLACE where the Sun sets and in his second Journey the place where it rises. Does any body need to go near rising or setting places to observe—sun-set or sun-rising? Interestingly, wishful Mullahs claim that this resting place means the ultimate destruction of the Sun. Sorry, brothers you are dead wrong. Look what Quran says in the following Ayats: Maulana Yousuf Ali’s Tafsir: “The Arabic word “Mustaqarr” may mean (1) a limit of time, a period determined or (2) a resting place or quiescence; (3) a dwelling place. I think, the first meaning (a time period determined) is best applicable here. But some commentators take the second (a resting place). In that case, the simile would be that of the SUN running a race while he is visible to us, and taking a rest during the night to prepare himself to renew his race the following day. His (SUN) stay with the antipodes appears to us as his period of rest.(page:1178, Sura-36,by Yousuf Ali)” In the Ayat above (36:39), Quran tells us that, moon gradually changes its shape and eventually (till she return like an old shriveled palm leaf) becomes very thin (wear off Moon) like dried date leaf (crescent- shaped). Only Mullahs can tell us how much sciences are in this Ayat! Sahih Bukhari Hadiths: Abzur Ghifari (ra) narrated: one day Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) asked me, “Abzar do you know after setting where Sun goes?” I replied, I do not know, only Allah’s apostle can say better. Then Prophet (SA) replied, “After setting, the sun remains prostrated under Allah’s Aro’sh (Allah’s throne) and waits for Allah’s command for rising again in the East. Day will come when sun will not get any more permission from Allah to rise again and Qeyamot (dooms day) will fall upon earth.” Please see page # 1133 of Bengali Translated Quran by Maulana Muhiuddin Khan to see this Hadiths for yourself. You can find this Hadith in Sahih Bukhari Sharif. The Saudi King selected Maulana Muhiuddin to Translate Quran and millions of translated Quran have been distributed throughout the whole world. And 100% of all Bangladeshi Mullahs/Karis/Hafezes believe them by their heart. Can anybody tell me what is it? Can any Islam loving Brother tell us what is it? Does it tell us about the destroyed Sun after 15 Billions years later? Answer is a big NO! Fact is, it was the superstitious belief of ancient people reflected in the Quran and Hadiths by Allah. A 10 year old boy would not tell such fairy tale story today. Above Quranic Ayat (36:40) is telling us that—Sun can not catch/overtake/collide with Moon; Or, Night can not oustrip the day, Or, darkness of Night is covered by Day light; and Day light is covered by Darkness of Night. By any means, Allah did not try to tell us about the SHAPE OF THE EARTH as some apologists want us to believe. This will be a ridiculous thinking. Allah actually wanted to tell us that, Night’s darkness is covered by Day-light and vice-versa. This observation does not take a divinity to determine. Any human being can see it clearly, even cave people observed it millions of years ago. Quran told us lots of sciences here. Where is the sun and where is the moon situated? Can anybody tell me how they could collide/meet/overtake each other? Are the sun and moon neighbors to each other? If I walk in the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh and my brother walks in the streets of Los Angeles, USA, shall we overtake/collide/catch each other? Allah is indeed a great scientist. I have the answer for this error: Ancient people saw (bare eye observations) Sun and Moon traveling from east to west (and west to east) seemingly in the same Sky area or same path, yet they do not collide or catch each other and causing day and night etc. People in the 7th century hardly could imagine that all of these phenomena are simply due to Earth’s rotation and NOT by Sun’s rotation. Sun is stationary for Earth, because earth is stuck in the sun’s Gravity, like we are stuck in earth’ gravity. Quran never say any where in the whole Quran that, THE EARTH ROTATES. Quran maintained Geo-centric theory in every respect. Earth was considered center of the Universe. Perhaps Allah could not feel Earth’s rotation, because like humans Allah was also stuck with earth’s gravity. This Quranic verse below once more confirms that the EARTH is fixed and never moves. Verily! Allâh grasps the heavens and the earth lest they move away from their places, and if they were to move away from their places, there is not one that could grasp them after Him. Truly, He is Ever Most Forbearing, Oft¬Forgiving. [Q 35:41] Allah thought earth is fixed at the center of the universe and never moves. Allah never could feel that this tiny earth is rotating (moving) constantly around the sun! He also thought that there is something calls sky (like roof over the earth) which also never moves because Mighty Allah is holding it fixed with His Mighty hand! What a ludicrous thinking by Allah! Quran gives us more scientific knowledge by telling us that the stars were created by Allah as missiles to throw at the devils: Quran-67:5: And We have (from of old) adorned the lowest heaven (sky) with lamps, and We have made such (Lamps as) missiles to drive away Satans (Evils)… Quran-37:6-8: We have indeed decorated the lower heaven (sky) with (in) the stars, (for beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious Satans. So they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side. Thus, the stars are nothing but missiles to throw at devils so that they may not eavesdrop on the heavenly council. Heavenly council? Here Quran is actually talking/describing about falling (shooting) stars (Ulka, Dhumkathoo). Superstitious minds of Quran believed that the sky is the roof (seven firmaments) over the earth where kingdom of Allah situated and there in Allah’s kingdom daily assembly (Allah and His Angels) sits to discuss how to run Allah’s business on earth. So, Allah does not want Satan to listen Allah’s secret conversation with His Angels (readers please see page-1191of Maulan Yousuf ali’s Shanrnazul#. 4037-4038 for more interesting story about this). DOES THIS AGREE WITH MODERN SCIENCE? He who created the seven heavens, one above the other….And We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps… [Quran-67:3-5] Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens one above the other, and made the moon a light in their midst, and made the Sun as a lamp. [Quran-71: 15-16] And He completed the seven firmaments (heavens) in two days and assigned to each heaven its command; and We adorned the lower heaven with lamps (Sun), and rendered it guarded… [Quran- 41:12] Quran teaches us that there are seven heavens one above the other (in layered; there are many sahi hadiths in support of this superstitious belief) and that the stars are in the lower heaven, but the moon is in the midst of the seven heavens. How come moon is furthest object than stars? How come SEVEN firmaments (layers)? Modern science tells us that, actually there is no such thing Sky or any roof over us, it is only a space with no known boundary at all. These verses simply reinforce the ancient idea of ROOF over us which is called SKY, is not it? We know very well the word CANOPY stands for a tent in the desert, and Canopy always must have a roof over it to protect from Sun’s heat. My humble questions to the readers, please tell me how come Allah is telling us that He decorated lower heaven (Sky) by stars? Are stars situated at the lower sky? Modern science tells us that, stars are (most) furthest object from our solar system. Sun is the nearest star for us. Does Quran tell us that the SUN is also a star? Answer is a BIG NO. Allah says Sun is a lamp/torch for the earth. Am I right? Do you see how much science here? The Quran says [31:10]: He hath created the heavens (Skies) without supports (pillars) that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm Mountains/Hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed….. Modern science tells us- whole thing around the earth is space and there is no boundary even we go Billions of Trillions of miles in all direction. Questions are: When there is no sky above us then how in the world, question of pillars comes? What was the need of pillars? Do we really have a roof above us? Is there anything called above or bellow in true sense? Are mountains there to prevent earth from shaking? Readers can read a Sahi Bukhari Hadiths about Ascension of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to heaven (Miraz story) where these seven skies (seven firmaments) have been well recognized and described. In the following verses, Quran claims that mountains were set on the earth so that the earth never can shake when human being dwelt in it. And We have set on earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them. [Quran- 21:31] And he has cast the earth firm mountains lest it shake with you… [Quran-16:15] He created the heavens without supports that you can see, and has cast onto the earth firm mountains lest it shake with you… [Quran-31:10] It is clearly understood that Quranic author was completely ignorant about the geological reasoning for existence of mountains. He saw that mountains are huge and heavy. So, He (Allah) thought mountains actually prevent Shaking (Earthquake) of the earth. Fact is, this particular reason for existence of mountains is a direct contradiction with modern geological knowledge. Geology proves to us that movement of tectonic plates, or earthquake itself causes mountains to be formed. Besides, we know very well that, every year several dozens of earthquakes happen on earth. Then what is the result of Allah’s promise? Can we believe that, Mountains are there to prevent earthquake? Quran never said everything in the universe does move/rotates, but Quran always said SUN and MOON moves/travels. Quran never ever said that, the earth moves or travels. And this is an open challenge to all Mullahs to disprove my assertion. Like all other religious books, Holy Quran believed Geo-centric theory and earth was considered center of the Universe. Only recently, no more than two decades ago, scientists learned that Sun also moves through the galaxy taking all the Planets with it. Fact is Allah was not stating real Sun’s movement, (which is, just one circle of Solar galaxy by 226 millions of years) but He (God) was stating Sun’s daily movement which was believed for millions of years until Copernicans time. Allah’s assertion of “settled place” or “an appointed time” was about the daily Sun rise and Sun setting. Following verses will prove that very clearly: “He created the heavens and the earth (in true proportions) ; He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night; He has subjected The Sun and Moon (to his law); each one follows a course for a time appointed.” Here each one clearly refers to Sun & Moon (in the previous sentence), and not everything in the Universe as wishful apologists claim. [Quran-39:5] “Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and He merges Day into Night; That He has subjected the sun and moon (to His law), each running its course for a term (time) appointed.” [Quran-31:29] “It is He who created The Night and Day, And the Sun and Moon; each of them Swim (float) along in its own course.” [Quran-21: 33] Ayats mentioned above could be found over and over, again and again almost in every other pages of Quran. Because, Quranic author, standing in the open Arab desert saw very well that, every morning SUN is rising from the East and gradually (appointed time or fixed time) setting to the West, and as a result, day and night follows. Allah truly mentioned this wrong knowledge (sun moving) of pre-historic people. Every time Allah mentioned sun & moon, He mentioned day & night, as if, it is due to sun’s movement day and night follows. Allah also saw, both the sun and moon are traveling seemingly at the same sky area and He was amazed how come they do not collide or how come sun can not catch moon(?) That was the sun’s movement Allah was talking about, which cave people could have said millions of years ago or a boy of five can say that very accurately. Is not it? Who does not see Sun’s movement from east to west? Truth about Sun’s movement Although, modern science believes that Sun also moves, Sun is considered stationary for earth in real/practical sense, because earth is stuck to the giant gravitation of the sun and continuously moves along with the sun wherever it goes, just the way we are stuck to earth’s gravity and do not feel earth’s movement at all. Yet science (people, not Allah) discovered that sun also moves, but what is the sun’s course? In real world, Sun takes about 226 million years to make just one complete circle through the Solar galaxy. And this movement of sun has nothing to do with DAY & NIGHT of the earth. Then, why Allah was telling almost in every pages of Quran: “ I compelled sun and moon to travel for fixed/appointed times (supposedly 12 hours daily) and day and night follows” Why? There was no valid reason why Allah would say again and again about the Sun’s final stage destruction (?) of “white dwarf”, as some unscrupulous Mullahs claimed. Could any body tell me exactly what relation does it (sun’s movement) have with day and night? In Quran, Allah always tells about Day & Night whenever He says about sun & moon? What is the relation of movements of sun and moon with day and night? Is day and night follows because of sun’s movement? One certainly needs to wonder, why Allah has to mention hundreds of times, about sun’s 226 millions year journey (as some wishful apologists claim that) to tell about day and night? What relation sun’s movement has with the day and night? It is obvious that, Allah was telling sun’s daily movement from east to west which people believed for millions of years. But surprisingly, all the wishful apologists giving false credit to Allah by saying: look Quran told about sun’s movement 1400 years ago which modern science only found out now. These apologists asking us to believe that Allah actually mentioned Sun’s orbit of the Solar Universe. What a wishful distortion of the truth. In fact, Quran repeatedly mentioned about the following only: Sun, Moon, Stars, heavens (Sky) and earth. That’s all. Quran never mentioned even about other planets (Jupiter, Mars, Pluto etc.) Quran portrayed all those Planets as nearest stars. Readers Please consider the following: (a) Sahi hadiths I gave about Sun’s rest under Allah’s Aroosh? (b) What relation day and night might have with the Sun’s single movement by 226 millions of years? (c) If Quran already has established Helio-centric cosmology (as some wishful Islamists claim) then why Arabic Mullahs did not come forward to save Copernicas, Leonardo Bruno, Galileo etc. from those Christian Mullahs? The Quran says: And We have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. [Quran-21:32 He hath created the heavens (Skies) without supports (pillars) that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm Mountains/Hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed…[Quran-31:10] And We have made the sky (heavens) as roof (canopy) well guarded… [Quran-21: 32] Who has made the earth your couch, And the heavens (Sky) your canopy; [Quran-2: 22] Modern science tells us- whole thing around the earth is space and there is no boundary even we go Billions of Trillions of miles in all direction. Questions are: When there is no sky above us then how in the world, question of pillars comes? Do we really have a roof above us? Is there a canopy (Shamiaa’na) above the earth? In most Bengali translated Quran all Maulanas writes: Allah akashke samiaana bannei-ese. Is there anything called above or below in true sense? This verse below even confirming the idea of ‘Canopy’ which has no holes/windows and it is like a sealed cap over the earth which is a “couch” for mankind. Source of this Islamic science is the verse below: O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be Ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! Not without authority shall ye be able to pass! [Q 55:33] On several previous Ayats (preceding to this verse above) were full of cautions & threats to the unbelievers. Allah was cautioning that soon judgment day will come and nobody will be able to flee from the accountability of their misdeeds. Therefore, by this particular Ayat Allah actually challenging all unbelieving “Jins & Men” that nobody can escape death or judgment of Allah and nobody can escape from the boundary of Sky (heaven) and earth, the CANOPY OF ALLAH (readers please see page#1320 of Bengali translated Qur’an by Saudi King. You will be amazed how apologists have distorted/manipulated the actual notion of this Ayat). Here Allah is challenging Jins and Men that they can never go out of this boundary of earth & Sky (“beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth”) without a special authority/power from god, which Jins and men do not possess. Literally, Allah proclaimed that Jins & men can not pierce the wall of this Allah’s Canopy. But, apologists are claiming that Allah actually told that, men can (?) conquer the space. Apologists virtually reversed the actual notion of this Ayat to claim that Quran foretold mankind’s conquest of space. What a wishful distortion of the Quranic verse by Islamists to gain science in Quran?
A. Some Cosmological Flaws: (Scientific contradictions)
How many days did it take to create Heavens and Earth?

(13) Allah foretold in the Quran that mankind will conquer space!
(14) Once again Allah considered sky as roof over the earth which will break/shatter on the dooms day (?)
-
And the heavens (sky) Shall be broken (opened) as if there were doors opens… [Quran 78:19]
-
When the Sky is cleft asunder [Quran-82:01]
-
And the sky will be Rent asunder, for it will That day be flimsy (soft) [Quran-69:16]
-
When the stars fall, losing their luster. [Quran-81:2]
Yousuf Ali comments in his Tafsir: beautiful blue sky overhead (which we take for granted in sunshine) will be shattered to pieces. Modern science tells us that there is no such thing as roof/sky or any canopy over the earth, rather all around earth is a limitless space. Only Allah knows what will break/shattered or will get soft/flimsy or how doors will open , there is no walls, where from doors will come? In some Ayats (Quranic verses) Allah threatened kafirs by saying: “I (Allah) will throw broken pieces of sky over your head.”
(15) Quran foretold about cosmic expansion of Big-bang theory!
Allah says:
And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! [Quran-51:48]
“With the power and skill did we construct the Firmament; for it is We Who create the vastness of space.” [Quran-51:47]
Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse, And the mountains as pegs (anchor)? [Quran-78: 6-7]
And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon Mountains firm and immovable; [Quran-15:19]
Shune-nozul (Tafsir) by Maulana Yousuf Ali:
“The space in heavens above, Who can comprehend it but He Who made it sustains it. The globe of the earth under your feet, how great its expanse seems over sea and land, and spread out for you like a wonderful carpet or bed of rest.”
Now, does this match with space expansion of our universe according to the Big-bang theory? Certainly not. Quran never told that “Universe” is expanding; rather Allah talked about the unlimited open space between the Earth and the imaginary sky. And Allah also bragged that He made the earth wide and spacious. Allah was sure that earth is flat like a carpet and mountains are there to anchor the earth so that earth does not shake with us. Is there any modern science here? APOLOGISTS TRIED TO EXPLAIN THESE WORDS “EXPANSE” OR “SPEAD OUT” AS THE COSMIC EXPANSION OF THE UNIVERSE. This is a pure distortion of the actual intention of the Ayat.
(16) Big-Bang theory foretold in Quran!
Islamists by their ultra-wishful interpretations of the Quranic verse: 21:30 shamelessly and foolishly try to fool the gullible poor Muslims and some westerners that Holy Quran already told about Big-bang theory 1400 hundred years ago! Source of their weird claim is the verse below:
“Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?” [Quran-21:30, Yousuf Ali]
What Koran said was very simple. Earth and sky (heaven-a roof over head?) was separated by Allah and Allah is trying to take this credit! That means, Earth and Sky was already there and Allah by his mighty hands separated them? Which idiotic scientist has ever told this nonsense about Big-bang? Does the Big-bang theory really tells that, that earth and sky were already here and these two were just separated and some mad guys call it Big bang theory? This Bedouin Allah thought the so called Sky is a roof or canopy over the flat earth. Who does not know in the 21st century that the so called sky is nothing but space which has no boundary or limit? Actually, there is no such thing called sky; although, people still call it sky by sheer habit developed out of ignorance since ancient time. Question is, do we have any sky over our head? Answer is a Big No!
Folklores of separating Sky (a solid roof) from the flat earth existed in Arabia! Let us examine this verse below:
“Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.” [Quran-13:2, Yousuf Ali]
This verse above clearly depicted the existence of superstitious belief about Earth and sky in ancient Egypt. And very clearly (wrong perceptions of course) described how Allah appointed Sun and Moon to rotate over the fixed earth to cause day and night. In fact, the idea of this above Quranic verses was originated from superstitions commonly believed by Pagans in the Middle East. Such childish or simplistic idea that the heavens and earth were once joined and then separated by the activity of Gods and Goddesses was actually derived from the ancient belief that sky they saw above their heads is a solid roof (Quran repeatedly called it roof or canopy) which mighty Allah separated by His mighty hands and hanged above without any pillars. Among the Egyptians for example, it was the involuntary separation of Geb (the Earth god) from his wife and sister Nut (the sky goddess) that was responsible for the division of the earth from the sky. The Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh likewise describes the moment “when the heavens had been separated from the earth, when the earth had been delimited from the heavens” as a result of the separation of a sky God (An) from an earth Goddess (Ki) [THHuxley]. We can easily find the root of this above verse (13:2) made up by Allah of the Quran. Question is do we get any science in this superstitious rubbish?
What is Big-bang theory?
The Big Bang is the cosmological model of the universe that is best supported by all lines of scientific evidence and observation. The essential idea is that the universe has expanded from a primordial hot and dense initial condition at some finite time in the past and continues to expand to this day [Wikepedia]. Moreover, Big Bang in Physics refers to the explosion of SPACE-TIME SINGULARITY (not matter). Matter was not even created when Big Bang happened approximately 15 Billion years ago. Earth was formed billions of years after the Big Bang by sheer cosmic evolutionary process.
By any means, Big bang theory has been just speculated by the scientists and is accepted by the majority of the scientists, and it is yet to be proven. What happens if in the future scientists come up with different theory of creation and discard this Big-bang theory altogether? What the hell these poor Islamists will do then? Truth is Quran never spoken anything that at all fits with the hypothetical discovery of Big-Bang theory discovered by modern science. Quranic perception of parting sky from the earth was purely based on ancient superstitious belief about our mysterious universe.
(17) The Universe is only 4,137 years old!
If we believe Quranic creation theory, or Biblical genealogy then, the age of this whole universe is less than five thousands year old. Islamic scriptures say that Allah has created this heaven and earth, from nothingness, within six days and after that He created Adam, the first human being; and Prophet Muhammad was the 90th descendant of Adam. According to calculation, considering 30 years to be the age difference between two successive generations, Allah created this heaven and earth only 4,137 years ago. On the contrary, geological experts say that the earth is more than 4.5 billion years old. Question is who is right about it? Allah was right or the modern scientists are right?
B. Some Embryological contradictions/errors
Man is Created From Clotted blood(?)
Then fashioned We the drop (semen) a CLOT OF CONGEALED BLOOD then fashioned We the clot a little lump (fetus), fashioned We the little lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators. [Quran-23:14]
(Bengali translations of the Quran read: “Zamaa’t Raokto theeke Manoosh banieesi” And this Ayat has been repeated again and again throughout the Quran)
• Then he becomes a CLOT; then (Allah) shaped and fashioned… [Quran-75:38]
• Created man, out of a mere clot of congealed blood [Quran-96:2]
There are serious scientific problems here.
A blood clot can not grow into anything. This idea came from the Greeks. Aristotle erroneously believed that humans are originated from the action of male semen upon female menstrual blood, which is absolutely an incorrect assumption. The Quran’s assertion on the clot (alaqa) is completely wrong about human development, since there is absolutely no stage during which the embryo consists of a clot. The only situation in which an embryo might appear like a clot is during a miscarriage, in which case the clotted blood which is seen to emerge (much of which comes from the mother) is solidified and by definition no longer alive. Therefore, if ever an embryo appeared to look like a clot it would never develop any further into a human; it would be a dead mass of bloody miscarriage. Since Prophet Muhammad had some thirteen wives it is entirely possible that he would be very familiar with miscarriages.
Modern science tells us that the formation of human embryo is a seamless continuation from conception to the birth; hence there are no hard-and-fast boundaries of stages as the Quran described. The Quran described 4 stages which match exactly with Galenic description of the development of the human embryo (which was proved wrong by modern science).
Creation of bones and clothing of bones with flesh: According to modern embryologists including Prof. Moore of Canada, the tissue from which bone originates, known as mesoderm, is the same tissue as that from which muscle (flesh) develops. Thus bone and muscles begin to develop simultaneously, rather than sequentially (as the Quran tells us). Moreover, most of the muscle tissue that we human have is laid down before birth, but bones continue to develop and calcify (strengthen with calcium) right into one’s teenage years. So it would be more accurate if the Quran had said that muscles started to develop at the same time as bones, but completed their development earlier. The idea that bones are clothed with flesh is not only scientifically completely wrong/false, but was directly copied from the ancient Greek doctor Galen’s hypothesis.
Also, the idea of saying: “made into bones and clothed the bones with muscle” came from the technique of making animal statues (Moorthy) out of rod and cement or mud. People usually make the skeleton (out of rod or stick) first and, then cover it up with cement or mud. This is scarcely a scientific description of embryonic development. It is rather a description of a layman.
Actually, what is very interesting about Quranic so called science are: Qur’anic scientific verses matches with Aristotle and Galenic theories of Embryology and Ptolemic Geo-centric theory of Astronomy which were prevailing almost thousand years before the arrival of qur’an. HOWEVER, ALL THESE THEORIES WERE PROVEN MOSTLY WRONG BY MODERN SCIENCE.
Quran foretold life from WATER
Let us find out from what Quran predicted origin of life from water. The Hindu scripture Veda (8000 B.C.) described origin of Earth and life from WATER of the SEA. The Great Greek Philosopher and Scientist THALES (640-546 B.C.) was the first Human to theorize that, Everything in this Universe was created from WATER OF THE SEA. Problem was, Thales could not provide any scientific proof. After that, ARISTOTLE (384-322 B.C.), the pupil of Plato and Tutor of Alexander the Great, concluded: “Because of the fact that, Plants & Animal body contains plenty of WATER and life needs WATER that was why THALES thought WATER WAS THE ORIGIN OF LIFE”. Therefore, Mankind did not have to wait until 7th century for Allah to say importance of WATER for life.
HONEY as the medicine
Wish full Islamists demand that Quran predicted Honey as the good medicine. Honey although it is not a great medicine by today’s context, was used by Ancient people as medicine and food for tens of thousands of years. Physicians of Pharaohs, the Kings pf Egypt, used to prescribe Honey for diseases. In pre-Islamic Arab, PAGANS widely used HONEY as medicine. In India, Ayurbedic medicine widely used HONEY as the ingredients of medicine thousands of years before the arrival of Qur’an. Honey was known as ‘Grandma’s Medicine’ throughout the Ancient World for thousands of years.
EVOLUTION VS. RELIGIOUS CREATION THEORY
Some Islamists often try to ridicule the theory of evolution in order to protect the obvious fallacies of the creation theory of religion. Most Islamists and orthodox religionists of other religions try to discard evolution theory. Interestingly, however, some of them also make futile attempts to explain the compatibility of religious creation theory with the theory of evolution! This is, of course, a hypocrisy; and a totally impossible and weird dream by those Islamists.
EVOLUTION is the greatest triumphs of human discovery. Evolution is not a peripheral subject but the central organizing principle of all biological sciences today. So no one ignorant of evolution can understand science. Secondly, evolution is as well documented as any phenomenon in science, as strongly as the Earth’s revolution around the sun rather than vice versa. Therefore, we can call evolution a “Fact”. Today’s biological sciences are directly propagating on the basis of evolution theory of Darwin.
For the last 100 years or so, the galloping advancement of science, particularly the life science, is purely on the basis of Darwin THEORY OF EVOLUTION and definitely not on the basis of CREATION THEORY. Science does not believe in CREATION theory and Religion does not believe in EVOLUTION theory. Truth is, if Religion wants to mix-up with evolution then, we shall have to consider Adam as Ape-like Neanderthal or Homo-erectus early human, and not a perfect human having all the intelligential qualities, as the Bible or Quran described.
Here in this Verse, Allah Challenges People: Who Can Tell Whether the Conceived is Male or Female (?)
• Verily the knowledge of the Hour is With God (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He who knows what is in the wombs of mothers…. [Quran-31:34]
Who does not believe the fact that, actually mankind can predict very accurately (99.5%) when rain will fall and can predict (99.8%) the sex of the child inside a mother’s womb? Scientists also predict that, in the next five years weather predictions will be successfully correct almost 100%. Perhaps Allah could not imagine this.
C. Historical blunders in Quran
In several Suras the Qur’an confuses Mary the mother of Jesus [Miriam in Hebrew] with Miriam the sister of Aaron and Moses, and daughter of Amram which is about 1400 years off.
“At length she brought (the babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms), They said: “O Mary! Truly a strange thing has thou brought! “O sister of Aaron, thy father was not a man of evil, nor your mother a woman unchaste!” [Sura:19:27-28]
And Mary, the Daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity, and We breathed into (her body) of our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord, and of His revelations, and was one of the devout (servants). [Sura:66:12]
Allah copied draconian code of law from the ancient king Hammurabi!
Hammurabi, the King of Babylonia, Mesopotamia (2900 B.C.) gave the low: Killing for revenge, i. e., “life for life, hand for hand, eye for eye, ears for ears, tooth for tooth and wounds equal for equal.”
And the Allah’s law in Qur’an [5:45] says: “life for life, hand for hand, eye for eye, ear for ear, tooth for tooth and wounds equal for equal.”
What is the difference between the code? Don’t we see any similarities between the judgment of King Hammurabi (a human), and Omnipotent Allah? Here in this decree of judgment, who probably copied from whom? Was not the Allah (which was Muhammad himself) copied from that Kaffir Hammurabi and sold it in the name of his imaginary Allah?
D. Some samples of utterly unethical verses in Quran
(1) Sex with slave girls
“Not so the worshippers, who are steadfast in prayer, who set aside a due portion of their wealth for the beggar and for the deprived, who truly believe in the Day of Reckoning and dread the punishment of their Lord (for none is secure from the punishment of their Lord); who restrain their carnal desire (save with their wives and their slave girls, for these are lawful to them: he that lusts after other than these is a transgressor…” [QURAN - 70:22-30]
This verse shows that Muslim men were allowed to have sex with their wives (of course) and their slave girls.
QURAN 23:5-6:
“…who restrain their carnal desires (except with their wives and slave girls, for these are lawful to them…”
Again, Muslim men were allowed to have sexual relations with their wives and slave girls.
QURAN - 4:24:
“And all married women are forbidden unto you save those captives whom your right hand possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. (Muhammad Pickthall’s English translation of the Quran).
QURAN - 33:50:
“Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty;…”
This verse is for Muhammad. Supposedly, God allows Muhammad to have sex with his slave girls.
The above verses are only a few I have mentioned out of numerous such verses scattered throughout the Quran. What could be more unethical matter than having sex with slave girls? Allah (SBT) graciously allowed Muslims to have sex with slave girls. Prophet Muhammad himself and his disciples routinely used to have sex with their slave girls. Islamic apologists try to make the truth foggy by their wishful excuse that, actually Allah meant to say, “Muslims can have sex with slave girls after marrying them”. Problem is after the slave girl is married by a Muslim man, how in the world Allah or any sane person can still call that wife (slave-wife) as the slave girl? Does a slave girl never change her title even after she is married?
Many erudite Islamic pundits emphatically claim that Allah sent Quran as the super guidance for not only Muslims, but for all mankind. My questions to them are as follows:
a) Could you tell us in which country on earth this super guidance is followed?
b) Could you tell us if you find some man in any civilized country having sex with his slave girl, what will be your conclusion about that guy?
c) Should all human kind follow this unethical Quranic guidance to day?
(2) Hilla Marriage-A curse, shame, and humiliation for women
- So if a husband Divorces his wife (irrevocably), he can not, after that, re-marry her until after she has married another husband and he has divorced her. In that case there is no blame on either of them if they re-unite; provided they feel that they can keep the limits ordained by God [Quran-2:230, Yousuf Ali].
Sahi Bukhari: #564:
Syed ibne ukair..Aisha (ra) narrated that wife of Rifakurzi told to the apostle of God that (because) my husband Rifa has divorced me I married another man named Abdur rahman ibne kurzi but I want to go back to my former husband. Then Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told—if you want to go back to your former husband you must have sex with Abdur Rahman and then if he divorce you then you can go to your former husband, otherwise it can not happen.
My dear honorable readers how do you like these above Quranic verse and sahi hadith? Are they sounding ethical to at all? After reading the above holy verse#2:230—any elementary student will agree with me that, Qur’an and Hadith strongly and clearly commands for Hilla marriage to purify the divorced wife to be taken back by the former husband. The irony is, how can this Hilla marriage do the purification of an innocent divorced wife? Who is at fault, in the first place, in this scenario of a hasty divorce? Quite obviously it was the husband who had made the mistake. Then, why in the world poor wife has to be punished (sleep with another strange man) for the crime she did not commit? Because, of all merciful Allah said so in the Holy Qur’an, Period. What a compassionate judgment from our Merciful Allah!
(3) Adoption in Islam was prohibited by Allah
Islam prohibits adopting children, Period. Adoption in the technical sense is not allowed in Muslim Shriah law. This is because Allah does not like this gesture of adopting orphan children. So Allah commanded his prophet to marry Zainab Bint Jahsh in order to abolish pagan custom (Fatawa al-Imam).” Al-sabuni states,
“As to Zainab Bint Jahsh, the Messenger of Allah married for no higher wisdom than to abolish the heresy of adoption (A-sabuni).”
It follows from this revelation that the adopter may marry the ex-wife of his adopted son and vice-versa.
“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but [he is] God’s Messenger and the Seal of the Prophets. God is Aware of everything!” [Sura al-Ahzab 33:40]
“We married her off to you so that there would be no objection for believers in respect to their adopted sons’ wives once they have accomplished their purpose with them. God’s command must be done!” [Sura al-Ahzab 33:37]
Thus Prophet Muhammad married Zainab in order to provide a good example of what the All-wise legislator was seeking to establish by way of rights and privileges for adoption.
In the verse (33:37) there is stated a particular purpose for this revelation and action of Muhammad. It is not for himself, but it is for the future of the Muslim community. It is so that in future there may not be a problem if anybody (father-in-law) wants to marry the divorced wife of an adopted son. “We permitted you to marry her so that it may hence be legitimate and morally blameless for a believer to marry the wife of his adopted son.” It is a mystery why in the world any father-in law will need to marry his adopted son’s wife which is extremely unethical.
Pre-Islamic Arab Custom: Adoption of orphan/helpless child was a very popular and moral practice amongst pre-Islamic Arabs. By adopting orphan/helpless child, they used to consider adopted child as their own. And they used to pass onto them the adopter’s genealogy and name, his investment of them with all the rights of the legitimate son including that of inheritance and the prohibition of marriage on grounds of consanguinity. I don’t know, how in the world Allah could dislike such noble deeds. I am not sure what percentage of Muslims actually knows this divine law. I do admit that I never knew this and, I was stunned when I first learnt this from a real Mullah. How and why was this noble custom among human being prohibited? Only Merciful Allah knows it!
E. Self-contradictory Quranic verses
Which one is correct:
• There is no Compulsion in religion…. [Quran-2:256]
OR
• Fight those who do not profess the true faith (Islam) till they pay the polltax (jiziya) with the hand of humility. [Quran-9:29]
• Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them and take them captive, and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush…. [Quran-9:5]
• When you meet the unbelievers in the Jihad strike off their heads…. [Quran-47:4]
• And slay (kill) them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out such is the reward of those who suppress faith. [Quran-2:191]
• O Apostle! Rouse the believers to the fight…(against) unbelievers. [Quran-8: 65]
Very often apologetics claim that, Islam is a religion of peace and there is no compulsion. Yet, punishment of an apostate in Islam is, of course, death penalty.
F. Meaningless Recitation of Quranic verses
Millions of devoutly fanatical and gullible Muslims (Arabs and non-Arabs) recite (parroting) Quranic verses at least 5 times daily. Strange thing is non-Arab Muslims do not understand the meaning of a single word at all. Yet, unlike any others, Muslims recite their Quran like ‘Tantor Montor’ or ‘Abra-ka-dabra’ of a magician, or like “Mantro” of a witch hunter. From the very childhood brainwashing, these Muslims were taught that reciting Holy Quran even without understanding any meaning is the best practice of worshipping Allah and can earn unlimited blessings from Allah. Therefore, these Islamic Zombies recite Quranic verses with sweet melodious voice daily, and they will also recite Quranic verses during their daily five time prayers. Even western educated highly qualified devout Muslims have no qualm or shame that they do not really understand what they are reciting from the Qur’an.
Among the Muslim majority nations—there is a special and very prestigious degree awarded by Madrasshas called “Hafez” to religious student who has memorize entire Qur’an, of course, without understanding the meaning of anything. These so called genius ‘Hafezes’ regarded as the best and highly pious Muslims, even though, these Islamic robots hardly understand anything of Quran! Annually, all Muslim nations will stage ‘Hafez-competition’ in which many Hafezes will compete to perform their better recitation (like a well trained and tamed parrot) and best award will be given to the winners of this hilarious competition.
Their superstitious belief in Quran is so strong that some unscrupulous Mullahs even sell Quranic verses as disease-curing medicine in the form of ‘bullets’ they call it ‘Tabiz’. And this practice of Quranic medicine is very much flourishing business in most Muslim majority nations. Because of these erroneous and superstitious belief systems among the Muslims, quack medical practices and bogus Sufi saints (Pir, Fakir, dervish and Allah’s agents or religious ascetic or mendicant wonder workers) are prolific & flourishing who by their cunning tactics of deception randomly plunders the hard-earned wealth from those millions of gullible poor and rich Muslims.
Funny thing is, they will recite Quranic verses (while praying) which actually dictate prohibition of some deeds; but they never follow the scriptural dictum and practice the same prohibited deeds anyway. Because they did not get the actual message, since they simply did not understand the meaning of the verse. On the other hand, say, they will recite the verses (with melodious songs) that dictate to kill or cut the neck of non-Muslims but (fortunately) they will not cut the neck of non-Muslims since they did not understand a word of it. Or, the Imam in the Mosque will recite verses that actually describe menstruation (women’s monthly physiological period) is illness (?) and prohibition of sexual act during that period. Interestingly, the Imam will do this strange recitation for the Muslim congregation comprised of men and women—and they all will utter “Ameen” in a chorus like some tamed parrots. Such is their blind belief in Islamic Qur’an.
Great source of this utopia of Quranic science!!!
The primary source of the sudden utopia of these crazy Islamic science discoveries in Quran was the EUREKA by Maurice Bucaille.
MAURICE BUCAILLE
Who was Maurice Bucaille? Was he a world famous scientist? Or, Was he a Nobel laureate? Or, was he an authority in theology, Embryology, or Astronomical science?
ANSWER IS NONE OF THE ABOVE.
Maurice Bucaille was an ordinary French Physician and lived in Saudi Arabia as an expatriate doctor to Saudi Royal family. He was not a better doctor than any of those hundreds of Bangladeshi or Indian expatriate Physician working in Saudi Arabia. But because, he was the Physician for Saudi King family he developed a special relation with Saudi King. To keep religious trade (Dharma Bebosha) booming, Saudi king asked him to write a book highlighting Qur’anic sciences for which the King offered him $6 million dollars. Clever French Doctor wrote the book “The Bible, The Quran and Science”, got $ 6 millions and got another $ 2 millions by selling his book (according to Dr. Campbell). This book was sold in Islamic World like a hot cake. It was told that, this doctor distorted the actual translation of Holy Qur’an by intentional/selective choosing of various meanings of Arabic words in order to match his theory of scientific explanation.
DR. WILLIAM F CAMPBELL
Who is Dr. William F. Campbell?
William Campbell is an American Physician who was an expatriate doctor for the family of the King of Tunisia for 20 years. After learning about the book of Dr. Bucaille, he wrote a book of 300 pages categorically rebutting Dr. Bucaille’s book. I urge readers to read Dr. Campbell’s book and see for themselves.
Conclusion
The contradictions I have illustrated in this article are only some samples, and of course, not exhaustive of the list. Quran is replete with them. As I mentioned earlier, all most all Quranic verse are self-explanatory. That is, when a verse is read, it gives a certain picture of the situation in which or, a particular circumstance due to which a particular verse was written down. It’s language of expression (no matter in which language) is very plain and simple. By reading a Quranic verse—one can easily see the inner-point/meanings, as to why and what actually Islamic Allah wanted to tell. As far I know, earlier translated Qurans (e.g. Maulana Yousuf Ali, Maulana Mahiuddin Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rahman Munshi and many others) were fairly sincere in their work of translation of original Arabic Quran. In those translated Quran, nobody claimed any trace of modern science. Since the “Urekha” created by Maurice Bucaille, our educated mullahs (not real mullahs) started discovering lots of science in Quran. Recently, some real educated Mullahs translated Quran with pick & choose word meanings from original Arabic Quran. They find alternate word meanings and choose the word which matches their intended purpose of explaining modern science. But they forgot that, actual scenario/circumstances of the Ayats do not at all match their wishful explanation.
In Bengali society there is a proverb: “Ka baalte Kalikatta buz’en” (you understand Calcutta when ‘C’ is uttered). But in this subject of Quranic interpretation, wishful Mullahs make “Ka” not just (only) Kalikatta, they can make Bombay, Madras, Delhi, Karachi, London, New York and what not by ‘Ka’. They can make almost anything to make a good match to Allah’s saying. And they do not even care whether people can swallow it or not.
Finally, I maintain my assertion that Qur’an possesses many contradictions/scientific flaws, ethical, historical and logical blunders and of course ample inconsistencies and redundancies. Yet, wishful apologists will never see what we can see, because of this great saying mentioned below:
“The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.” -Oliver Wendell Holmes.

This is a classic gem from SKM.
According to my estimate there are at least two hundred contradictory verses in the Qur’an.
Perhaps, the most hilarious contradictory verses are these:
2:259 says Allah spoke to an ordinary person. 4:165 says Allah spoke directly to Moses. Contradiction: 42:51 says Allah never speaks directly to a human; He speaks either from behind a veil or through a messenger.
The Qur’an is funny, to say the least.
Thanks to SKM for highlighting the gross inaanities of the holiest Book of Islam.

To Syed Kamran Merza, you have researched and compiled almost all the the anti-Quran points and think you nailed it. As a matter of fact most of the points are so erroneously presented in order to mislead people who don’t have in depth knowledge. However with little common sense and little bit study of Quran, most of the points can be answered by any ordinary person. I’m so tempted to give reply all your allegations point by point. However I don’t have enough time like you. I’ll reply one point today, and touch the rest in different posts whenever I get time. In this post, I would like to touch the allegation against the inheritance law. By reading this it seems to me that somebody is trying to solve a mathematical equation but does not know the basic rule of mathematics. Your first example:
When a man dies, and is leaving behind three daughters, his two parents and his wife, they will receive the respective shares of 2/3 for the 3 daughters together, 1/3 for the parents together [both according to verse 4:11] and 1/8 for the wife [4:12] which adds up to more than the available estate.
I’m surprised how the basic rule of equation is ignored in this analysis. Let’s look at it applying basic rule of math. For example a deceased leaves $5000 behind. According to the inheritance law this asset will be divided using inheritance law in the following order:
(2/3)X + (1/3)X + (1/8)X = $5000.
Now solving the equation by getting the value of X, the daughters are getting $2962.96, parents $1481.48 and the wife $555.55.
Why are you analyzing adding up all the fractions ignoring the asset value, which must be the constant amount to be divided.
If you know (and you must know) the amount or asset to be divided, no calculation should be difficult to understand.

@saj,
You are forcing the answer using simple Algebra, but according to your wrong caculations the daughters end up with almost 3000 which is 3/5 of the inheritance and not 2/3 as stipulated by the Aya. Nice try but stupid

This post seems to be bit strange. I’m not sure if you are questioning the inheritance law or the rule of math equation. The equation is set to get 2/3 of $5000 for daughters, but you seem to be questioning the output was actually 3/5 of $5000!!! If this is the case, you should say the rule of math equation doesn’t actually work, not the inheritance law. I can see why you are confused. The fraction values of 2/3 and 3/5 are very close. 2/3 = 0.6666 and 3/5 = 0.6. The difference in the output of the equation is 0.06 and you probably know it happens due to the rounding to make it work with our currency system. As our currency system is limited to 1 of 100th of a decimal point, we are forced to round after two decimal positions. If you hate quranic inheritance law, then set it aside and consider any other non-islamic inheritance law of any country. You still will have problem deviding everything using math only. If the combination of math and our currency system fails to devide any cash amount precisely, it doesn’t mean the law fails. A law never states to use only math to implement the stated solution. You could use math and/or any other tools and reasonings to apply the solutions as stated in the corresponding law. Also note, the inheritance law is not only for deviding cash, it may also be applied to devide any assets among inheritors. I posted some scenarios in one of my earler posts. Please read my post in response to one of a readers’ reply for article 19.
well some of these contradictions are so so very bad.

Dear Authors,
Thank you for nice informative articles. Earlier I did not know all of these about islamic books. One day I saw the a tag behind a car. It was written on the tag of one islam-watch/Jihad-watch site. The driver of that car had a long beard similar to the beard of a radical mullah. I thought it must be for promoting islam. I became curious and checked the website. Then I found very informative articles like yours. It was an eye opener. Earlier I knew and experienced that islamic minded people are rigid, conservative, and they do not want to adapt with modernity. They explain everything using islam and quran. Even the Ph.D. degree holders doing postdoctoral research in USA also do that. After reading your articles I became enlightened. I read the Quran and Hadith, and understood the root cause of the problems in islamic countries, and the problems created in the world by islam, and by islamists. Thank you all.
Kind Regards.

I think Madrasa students and the huzurs can learn a lot from this article.

Madrasa Students and Huzurs are not interested. Many higher degree holders from islamic countries are not interested to know this truth about islam. First, they become very angry if you say anything negative about islam, even if its logical. They told me they are not allowed to discuss this, and Allah will take care of them. From 1926 to 1936, there was a literary movement at Dhaka University, called “Budhhir Mukti” . Abul Hossain, Kazi Abdul Odud, Kazi Abdul Kadir, Abul Fazal, Kazi Motahar Hossain, Khan Bahadur Abdur Rahman Khan, Anwar Hosssain etc were the main people behind this noble mission. Then conservative muslims objected and created troubles for these freethinkers. And these free thinkers had to beg pardon publicly for their free thinking movement. Under threat, these freethinkers such as Abul Hossain, Kazi Abdul Odud etc left east pakistan (east bengal) and went to West Bengal. They spent rest of their life in west bengal and did their literary work. Unfortunately today’s Bangladesh is more intolerant and society is radicalised. So, the people are in the religious blackhole. There is no “Mukti” for the people under the influence of the religion. Kazi Abdul Odud, and Abul Hossain left east pakistan (east bengal) for their own dignity and “MUKTI”.

With all due respect, I disagree with Truthseeker. Most of the people are interested to know the truth, but the society and media denies that. People are relentlessly fed lies which are portrayed as truth. A child doesn’t become a terrorist by birth, but it becomes one through a process. I honestly feel that a lot of Madrasa students and Huzurs are hungry for such information but no one is helping them.

This is one of the valuable pieces of SKM in scrutinizing Quran. He categorized most of the visible contradictions mentioned in Quran. According to AK’s estimate there are at least two hundred contradictory verses in the Qur’an. I suggest you to enlist all of them. We will put them in our site.
I would like to point out one thing. It is nice to see the refutation of Maurice Bucaillie in this piece and the mention of Dr. William F Campbell’s book. However, modern apologists are no longer held bent on Bucaillie or Moore, rather they found their new Gurus - Zakir Nayek and harun Yahaya. I hope SKM and AK will focus on them in future.
I will recommend the following book of Physicist Taner Edis to tackle modern day apologists:

One of his papers was previously published in Mukto-Mona. You can take a look:

We are going to publish Mukto-Mona’s next book – “Biggan o Dhormo: Shongghat naki shomonnoy?” It is already in a e-book format. Please read the book online, especially chapter 3 and 4.

My thanks to all the readers especially those who kept their valuable comments. Yes, Koran has no shortage of contradictions and unethical stuff in it. It takes only inquisitive minds and open eyes to catch them. Avijit’s great wish of making the list of contradictions even longer has been accepted by us. We will try to add more and more ridiculous stuff from the Koran in our list.
Surprisingly, those blind believing Muslims (both illiterate and highly educated alike) hardly can detect or see these Quranic contradictions. Everything they see in Quran are very “rosy and super-divine” according to them. It’s mindboggling why they fail to see the truth about Koran and Islamic teachings. May be, it is their fear of dreadful Islamic heaven and sheer lusts and greed for the unlimited sexual pleasures in the Islamic heaven.

One more point: the first human beings according to holy Bible and Quran, - Mr. Adam and Ms. Eve (or bibi hawa), - were nether Muslims, nor Christians, nor Jews. In fact, they did not belong to any religion. This proves that all the religions today are man-made (according to holy Bible and Quran).
This is enough to rest my case! Religions are trapped by God’s own words!!!

@supa, You’ve simplified your case to a great extent to rest your case. The fact of the matter is Adam and Eve knew very well who their creator was as they expecienced Him like no other human. So for them it was impossible to be skeptic and atheist like you. They got knowledge and laws how to worship their creator and to live their life in the earth. These are the laws which we call religion and this is the only religion, which has been accepted by God.

I believe MR. or MRS. Syed is competly wrong. I am not a musliman, but I have read the OLDEST Quran which is in Istanbul. As people say Old is Gold, and there are no errors and it does match science. Now the citations which were given by Syedji, it could be that this is a Mullah Quran which is absolutely wrong. Allah’s Quran is the most accurate and if needed proof I would suggest at any Arabic book shop or even search of online a pure copy of the oldest Quran from Istanbul and understanding Arabic will help better understand not only Islam but again Quran itself! The citations which are given by Syedji, are from the extremist Mullahs who have gone astry in wrong directions. For the proof of my claim it has been proven that Quran has been twisted by some fanatic Mullahs just to create chaos for their own benefit. So I would request people to read the actual thing. When you are not even able to identify the sex of a muslim name “Syed” how in the world you can identify which Quran is right or wrong? Do you think, 1 billion plus Muslims should rush to the Museum of Istanbul to find the correct Quran? Do you think the most original authors of Quranic translation like: Maulana Yusuf Ali, Pickthal, Shakir, et al are petty Mullahs who translated Quran incorrectly and have gone astray? Ibn Ishaq, Ibn Kathir, Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmizi, Imam gazzali, all those original and most famous Muslim Islamic scholars are simply twisted Quran to create chaos for their own benefit? Where did you get this bullshit idea man? You should be ashamed of making such silly and nonsensical comment. Why don’t you do one thing? Remove millions of Quran translated by these above Islamic scholars from the entire world, and tell all Muslims to run to Islanbul for corrected Quran. Tell Saudi King to dump all their Quran and run to Islanbul or to you (the Islamic pundit) to learn correct Quran. You must be an idiot islamists no doubt about it.

Dear Syed K .Mirza.
I am thrilled at such revellations and your audacity.
You see in ancient India the Vedanta Philosophy an ancient religion on earth - the first one to talk on God and the human beings did not become popular mainly because of its Liberalism and because of its dryness and inablity to rouse fanaticism in the human mind and that brings our hatred on anything except itself.
So Religion (except in Vedanta philosophy) had to be designed by man and thus they found by experience that 3 important principles should exist for a religion to exist namely:
a BOOK;
a PROPHET or a teacher or a great leader; and
a TRUTH monopoly to influence people that it
alone is the truth.
Hence you find all religions today have these principles and with one purpose to:
create a belief of the unknown and
create funding principles for their existence.
Why must a “god” need to be protected by humans when he has all the powers to be?
These have been going on till today and some intelligent ones will very soon discover that a “GOD” which is an idea of mind is no longer needed for life.
instead a vibrant and healthy brain for a good quality life on this earth.
To enjoy the fruits and joy of life one must have the wisdom of his Self. The awareness of our existence becomes clear only when we have a good brain and not a good belief.
The sence of “being”.. is first… before you take a belief. This belief principle has been put and cultured into our brains since childhood by the environment and traditions.
All scientific creations of man for mans joy life are discovered by the developed and healthy brains and not by some silly ulamas or priests, etc.
The Muslims and Christians in fact copied the idea of congregations of believers from the ancient Indians who survived on the financial turnovers.
Observe that the Varanasi river temples are now becoming dilapidated due to depletion of funds. Some day in the future this fate will soon occur in Mecca (visiting of the Ka’aba) with the development of the brain in man.
Man should not get buried in the books of the past on “god or beliefs” instead should find books to discover his greater potentials of being a human being to deliver his best efforts to mankind, other living creatures and himself.
I am grateful to all who: designed the planes, discovered the medicines and hospital technologies to lessen, cure the pain of man and creatures, those wonderful people who brought new improvements to all sciences related humans, creatures, environment and all and sundry to make this earth a wonderful place to live.
Thank you

To Syed Kamran Mirza,
I got some time today to reply few more of your allegations about your so called numeric contradictions in the Quran:
1) You mentioned:
There are many numerical contradictions in the Quran. God cannot make an error in doing simple calculations.
How many days did it take to create Heavens and Earth?
1. Your guardian-Lord is Allah who created the heavens and earth in Six Days [Quran 7:54]
2. Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in Six Days [Quran 10:3]
3. He it is Who created the heavens and earth in Six Days [Quran 11:7]
4. He Who created the heavens and earth and all that is between, in Six Days [Quran 25:59]
The above verses clearly state that God (Allah) created the heaven and the Earth in 6 days. But the verses below stated:
1. Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in Two Days ? [Quran-41:9]
2. He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firm high above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR DAYS… [(Quran- 41:10]
3. So He completed them (heavens) as seven firmaments in Two days and… [Quran-41:12]
Now do the math: 2 (for earth) + 4 (for nourishment) + 2 (for heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days.
—————————————————————-
My Response:
For example, I asked my builder how long it took to build my house. He replied, three months. I asked could you give me exact breakdown of the work you did and how long they took. He gave the breakdown as below:
1) one month to lay the foundation of the building
2) 15 days to build the structure above ground
3) 10 days to build each bedroom for the five bedroom house
4) 15 days to do the first floor tiles
5) 15 days for second floor tiles
6) 15 days to do the roof and shingles
If my mind is not foggy, I won’t say how it is possible, if I add all these it comes like this: 30 + 15 + 5 X 10 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 140 days. This is more than three months (90 days). However, yet if I’m stupid enough to ask him this question, he would’ve explained, all these works are not done sequentially, rather many of them were done in parallel manners. As for example, he was working on first three bedrooms simultaneously, i.e. one of his teams working on the first bedroom, the other team working on the second and so forth. That way if counted the work done on each bedroom, it took 10 days each, however because his team was working on multiple bedrooms simultaneously, all rooms were completed no more than twenty days. Same way, while some of his teams working the house, others were busy building roof and fixing sidings on the external walls . That’s why although the house was delivered to the owner in three months, the breakdown of the work done was actually 140 days. Same manner when Allah says:
4. Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in Two Days ? [Quran-41:9]
5. He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firm high above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR DAYS… [(Quran- 41:10]
6. So He completed them (heavens) as seven firmaments in Two days and… [Quran-41:12]
It’s true that the whole creations were completed in six yaums (not days as translated), if you breakdown in details it actually took eight yaums.
2. Your other allegation:
Allah’s Days Equal to 1000 Years or 50,000 Years (?)
• Verily a day in the sight of the Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. [Quran 22:47]
• To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be a thousands years of your reckoning [Quran 32:5]
• The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a day the measure whereof is Fifty thousands years. So, which one is it ? Is the day of Allah equal to 1,000 earth years or 50,000 earth years? [Quran-70:4]
—————————————————————–
My Response:
The Arabic word used in all these three verses is yaum, which, besides meaning a day also means a long period, or an epoch. If you translate the word yaum correctly as ‘period’ there will be no confusion.
a) The The verse from Surah Hajj reads as:
“Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! but Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning”. [Al-Qur’an 22:47]
In this case it mentions, when the unbelievers asked to hasten the punishment the Qur’an says Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a period in the sight of Allah is like a thousand years of your reckoning.
b) The verse from Surah Al-Sajdah says:
“He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up? To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning”. [Al-Qur’an 32:5]
This verse indicates that a period required for all the affairs to go up to Allah (swt), is a thousand years of our reckoning.
c) A verse from Surah Al-Maarij says:
“The angels and the spirit ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years”. [Al-Qur’an 70:4]
This verse means that the period required for angels and the spirits to ascend unto Allah (swt) is fifty thousand years.
d) The period for two different acts need not be the same. For example if I say the period (yaum) required for me to travel to destination ‘A’ is one hour and the period required for me to travel to destination ‘B’ is 50 hours. This does not indicate that I am making two contradictory statements although one period (yaum) is 1 hour ant the other is 50 hours.

@saj,
Here is my response to the inheritance inconsistencies:
In response to Saj’s equation on inheritance shares:
Let us solve the equation. I shall use the variable as letter Y, instead of X, to remove the confusion that might arise with the multiplication symbol X.
(2/3)Y + (1/3)Y + (1/8)Y = 5000
This can be reduced to (27/24)Y = 5000
We get Y = (24X5000)/27 = 4444.40
This is less than the total value of the inheritance, which, accordingly, was $5000.
The individual shares will now be as follows:
2X4444.4/3 = 2963
1X4444.4/3 = 1481
1X4444.4/8 = 551.6
This means, even though the distribution does up add up approximately 5000, individual shares are not precise to conform to the Qur’an.
Just think, if the total inheritance is merely $1.
In this case 2/3 of $1 = $0.67
1/3 of $1 = $0.33
Add them, it is already $1.00
So, how do we get 1/8, that is $0.125?
Obviously, by juggling, we can always fit an equation.
For example, we could even have an inheritance equation in this manner
(1-1/3)Y + (2/3)Y + (2-1/2)Y = 5000.
The solution gives us Y = 1111.3 which is the manipulated value of the fund to conform to the mathematical law, because the original asset of $5000 cannot be precisely distributed according to the stipulated desire.
This means we are forced to reduce each person’s share.
But this is just a manipulation, it does not satisfy the fundamental of fractional addition: that is: (1-1/3)X5000+(2/3)X5000+(2-1/2)X 5000.
If you add, you get 22499.5 and not 5000. So, how does the balance that is 22499.5 - 5000 = 17499.5 come from?
I have cited this extreme example, when the fractions add up to more than unity. If, as per Saj, Allah’s law is correct, then we should be able to distribute $5000 as per the above example. But we cannot, because there is a shortfall in the fund.
O.K. here is how this mulla corrects Allah’s Qur’an to conform to human laws on arithmetic.
Please recall that in the example cited by the mulla, we found Y = 4444.40
Also note how the distribution is not precise to conform the Qur’an
Qur’an says
————–
2/3 = 0.6666
1/3 = 0.3333
1/8 = 0.1250
Add = 1.125
Human corrects the Qur’an
——————————
(2963/5000) = 0.5926
(1481/5000) = 0.2962
(555.6/5000) = 0.1112
Add = 1.0000
Precisely, we may note that the Qur’anic arithmetic gives an excess of 1/8 = 0.125. So human mulla has applied a correction factor to all the fractional numbers set by Allah. This correction factor, in this case, is approximately 7/8. Here is how:
(2/3)X(7/8) = 0.5834
(1/3)X(7/8) = 0.2920
(1/8)X(7/8) = 0.1094
Add them; it is approximately 1.00 (precisely 0.9844)
The reason, why there is a very small difference is that the correction factor will be slightly different for each case, depending on their original fraction. But a common value of 7/8 yields a very satisfactory result for the purpose of demonstration.
To a gullible reader, bereft of precise knowledge of mathematics, this Islamic deception might seem to be very smart.
But I can say that this mulla has dug his own grave, he has conclusively proven that Allah is wrong in the Qur’an and human has to correct Him.
It needs a precise eye to discover this Islamic deception.
Readers, please double-check my calculations, and, if found incorrect, then inform me and I shall apologise for misleading you.
If the readers find my arithmetic correct, then they must acknowledge that the Qur’an is absolutely wrong in the precise fractional distribution of inheritance.

@Abul Kasem,
I really appreciate your time in reading my post and spending so much time in preparing a nice rebuttal. When I was reading your post, it appears to me that you are expecting the Quranic inheritance laws to give you a math formula which should be able to give solution to the accuracy of billions of digits. You need to understand this is a law we are talking about, not a math formula. What is a law? A law is a set of guidance to solve a particular matter or a problem. In the justice system of any country, when a judge delivers a verdict, he needs to explain what law his verdict is based on. He cannot just decide whatever he likes. He needs to convince both the prosecutor and the defendant that his verdict is within the guideline of the corresponding law. Two judges can give two slightly different verdicts, but still both need stay within the defined guidelines of the corresponding law. So when the Quran gives inheritance law, it actually gives the guidance for the humanity to take care of the division of the assets among the inheritors. The asset can be anything ranging from cash or properties. Anything can be divided based on this guidance. For the sake of argument, in my rebuttal for SKM post, I only mention how a cash of $5000 can be divided. If you look at the inheritance law as purely a law, not math formula, you will not see any contradiction. Like any law, Quran is giving law for a people, who are intelligent enough to work it out if a guideline is provided. Because our currency system is limited to 1/100 of a dollar, it doesn’t mean that the inheritance law fails. The inheritors always can decide how few pennies here and there can be worked out. The brothers can agree that the sister needs more money and let her have few pennies or vice versa. My point is if the guidace is there, anything can be worked out using human intelligence. Hypothetically you can pose any problem, which in real life will never happen. You may say what if a deceased leaves only $1 and it needs to be divided using inheritance law among three brothers. At first glance it is impossible to do so in our currency system if you try to solve this using just pure math here. In this case, the judge may need to convert this $1 to something which can be divided in three pieces. He might ask all three brothers to decide on something which they all like and it should cost only a dollar. They might decide to buy a chocolate bar using this dollar and split it in three equal pieces. This is a hypothetical solution of a hypothetical problem, which in real life will never happen. However reason for bringing this up to show you that the inheritance law can be applied intelligently even to this silly imaginary problem. When you resolve the inheritance issue, you may need to use math, and/or mutual discussions among inheritors to resolve issue. However no matter what you do you need stick with to guidelines of the law.
I guess it is worth to use another example to explain how the law works. For example a deceased leaves a daughter and a son and a house. Now this house needs to be divided between the son and the daughter. Without going too much detail, let’s assume the law states 2/3 is for the son and 1/3 is for the daughter. If it is a three storied house, the solution is instant: the brother gets two floors and the sister gets one. However if it’s a two story building instead, things are complicated. However with the inheritance law, there could be numerous solutions. With the law, the brother gets approximately 1.335 and the sister gets 0.665 portion of the house. You cannot use straight math in this case. However the judge still can offer numerous options within the guideline of the law and ask them to see which one suits them the most. Let’s see few such options:
1) The sister can pay 0.335 of the value of one floor to the brother and own whole floor. In this solution, the brother gets money for the value of 0.335 of a floor and both the brother and the sister own a floor each.
2) The brother can pay 0.665 of the value of a floor to the sister and can own the whole house
3) They can rent the whole house and split the rental income by 2/3 and 1/3
4) If the brother and the sister both leave together, they can live in one floor and rent it out the other. From the rental income, the brother will get 0.335 and the sister will get the 0.665 of the rental income. I want you to look closely on this scenario. It gives you an idea why the son gets more share than the sister. As you see the sister gets more rental income than brother although the brother is letting the sister to stay with him in his apartment. In Islamic law, it’s the brother’s responsibility to take care of the family, which may include his own family as well as his parents and younger and unmarried siblings. He cannot charge the sister in this case despite letting her stay with him and bearing all her expenses. As brother is already living in his inherited floor, he is entitled to only 0.335 of the other floor and the sister gets the rest and the sister doesn’t need to pay penny to the brother.
5) If none of the above solution works for them, then the judge needs to order to sell the house and divide the cash in due portion.
I tried to explain as clearly as possible to give you an understanding how the inheritance law works. I hope it answers your queries. Regarding the point of solving the decimals, it’s not responsibility for law to define. Human mind can work out this minute issue through discussion and still be content of the solution within the guideline of the law.
Thank you.

You can not make people fool by your totally fallacious, convoluted, and deceptive explanations to save your Allah. The way you have tried to fool the readers, Allah did not say same way about his time-period of making Earth and Sky (heaven). Instead, Allah said his bogus making-time of earth and heaven in many different Chapters (Suras) in different times, and He never explained like the way you wanted to feed us your fallaciously convoluted logic. Allah used at least 5 (Five) different chapters (7:54, 10:3, 25:59, 11:7, and 41:9-12) to describe His weird method of making of Earth and Heaven. He never used the deceptive tricks that you wanted to use to make people fool. He simply said different things in different times!
Your builder will not tell you whole different things in different days, like your Allah said in Koran in five chapters. If you ask him about the time period that should require to make your house, builder will tell you just one possible time-period. Where in the Koran your Allah specified #s of days to make each item, like the way you did? Allah’s verses meant exactly what I stated in my article. If you think only your logic is acceptable and any counter to this doesn’t have any weight, you may content yourself with such thought, but I don’t think any open minded reader will accept it as an acceptable attitude. You need to explain clearly why you think my rebuttal doesn’t hold ground. Just because you don’t agree with an argument can no way make it unacceptable or deceptive. If this is the case I can accuse you of deceiving readers with misleading logic as well. However I don’t want to approach this way. I’m not interested in fighting, rather want to involve in an intelligent discussion so that it can benefit us as well as the readers. The readers can judge between your post and my post and decide by themselves which one is more beneficial to them.

I’m not sure why you just dismissed my builder example without adequate explanation. Why do you think the builder can only give one number regarding his works on the house? His answer will certainly depend what information you are looking for. If you ask how long the builder will take to deliver the house, he will say 90 days. On the other hand when you ask how much work he will perform for billing purpose he will say 140 days. Let’s look at another example to explain this little more clearly. For example, you are trying to get a quote from two different builders. One builder tells you he can build the whole house in four months and the other builder says he can finish the same work in two months. Do you expect the second builder to charge you half the amount because he is taking half the time to finish the job? Absolutely not. Because when you ask about the billing matter, you will probably see both builders are charging for the same number of days. How? The first builder tells you he will have five people working for him for four months, so he charges 4 months (120 days) X 5 = 600 days. The second builder says he will have 10 people working for him for two months and he will charge for 2 months (60 days) X 10 = 600 days. The reason for giving this example is to make you understand that the reply regarding the number of days can be different based on the information you seek. So you cannot just say the builder’s answer will always be the same. If you want to ask about the time required of the delivery of your house he will answer one thing, but if you ask about the detail of his work for billing purpose his answer will be different.
I explained in my last rebuttal that in some verses Allah gives the period required to build heavens and the earth while in some other verses He tells about the details of His works. Please read those verses from the Quran directly instead of copying and pasting from some anti-Quran sources, whose only purpose is to twist and fabricate in order to malign Quran. Each of the first four verses you mentioned in your post just has one line statement regarding the yaum (time period) required to build heavens and earth. They simply state that Allah created heavens and the earth in six yaums. However in chapter 41 there are four verses regarding the creation of heavens and the earth and explain in detail of the time period required to create those. Verses 9 and 10 tell detail about the creation of earth. If you had problem understanding these verses, you should’ve read the footnote in which it explains that these two verses talk about the creation of a same series. Verse 9 tells about just the initial creation of the earth and the verse 10 goes in detail of completion of the creation which includes the creation of the earth from the very beginning to the end. Hence the four yaums, which is mentioned here actually indicate the total time periods for the creation of the earth from the very beginning to the end (which include make the earth habitable with water, vegetation etc.). There is one other thing is worth noting: in all four other chapters, the Quran mentions about heavens’ creation first and then that of earth. However in chapter 41, Quran talks about earth’s creation first and then the creation of heavens. If the creations were in any sequential manner, the order of the creations would be same in all the chapters. This clearly indicates there is no particular order in which the heavens and the earth were created, rather they were created simultaneously. It fully confirms our modern scientific knowledge about the creation of heavens and earth.

Question: How Allah’s making times fits with today’s scientific knowledge of making Earth and entire universe? Does Allah’s time-periods anyway fit cosmological time period of science today?
My Response
————————————————————-
I’ve already explained how the mentioning of creation of heavens and the earth in the Quran is perfectly conformity with the modern scientific knowledge. Now it’s your job to explain why you think it’s not the case. It is not a convincing answer at all by just saying that Allah actually said how you interpreted. You actually need to prove why you think your interpretation should be the only acceptable one.
Regarding your question about the time factor, I don’t see any contradiction either. I said again and again that the time mentioned here is yaum, which means a period, not a day as translated. I know where you come from with this. The Bible actually mentions six 24 hour days for these creations as it says each of those days contains a night and a day. However in Quran there is no mention of a day or night in the yaums. So a yaum can be any time period; it can be a day or a very long time period such as millions of years of earth time. Science doesn’t have any problem accepting this time period regarding the creations of heavens and earth.

Thanks but no thanks. It is never a good idea to gather knowledge from somebody who doesn’t look at the matter with open mind and all his research directs only to propagate negativity of that substance. I love to acquire knowledge about Quran. I believe the best way it can be done by directly going to the source which in this case is the Quran itself. I welcome any opinion about a subject matter, but I also try to see the other side of the coin before I convince myself. To Syed Kamran Mirza, let me reply some more of your allegations against Quran.
Your allegation:
————————————————————-:
“It is not for Sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.” (This they clearly meant for the Sun and Moon only). [Quran-36:40]
Above Quranic Ayat (36:40) is telling us that—Sun can not catch/overtake/collide with Moon ….
My Response:
————————————————————————————-
You yourself have replied the so called contradiction when you made the statement:
“If I walk in the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh and my brother walks in the streets of Los Angeles, USA, shall we overtake/collide/catch each other?”
Bingo, well said. The very same way, the sun and the moon have two different orbits or paths and this is the reason they will never collide ( Yusuf Ali) or overtake (M.H. Shakir) each other. Where is the contradiction here?? It perfectly matches with the science as the “sun,” “moon,” “day” and “night” will remain separate phenomenon since the sun and moon travel in their own orbits and hence will never collide. If the sun and moon were not in their own “exact” orbits (55:5), the phenomenon of “day” and “night” would most certainly be affected.
Your Allegation:
—————————————————————————————–
In the Ayat above (36:39), Quran tells us that, moon gradually changes its shape and eventually (till she return like an old shriveled palm leaf) becomes very thin (wear off Moon) like dried date leaf (crescent- shaped). Only Mullahs can tell us how much sciences are in this Ayat!
My Response:
—————————————————-
Let’s see what the verse says:
“And We have decreed set phases for the Moon, until it ends up looking like an old date branch. It is not for the Sun to overtake the Moon nor for the night to outstrip the day; each one is swimming in a sphere.”
The verse indicates “set phases for the moon.” You cannot absolutely say that the phase here actually means the physical shape of the moon. Rather a recent scientific discovery matches very well with this verse regarding the orbit of the moving moon. The Moon does not follow a regular orbit like the satellites of other planets. As it orbits the Earth, it sometimes moves behind it and sometimes in front. As it also moves with the Earth around the Sun, it actually follows a constant pattern resembling the letter “S” in space. This route, traced by the Moon in space, is described in the Qur’an as resembling an old date branch and does indeed resemble the twisted form of the date tree branch. Indeed, the word “urjoon” employed in the Qur’an refers to a thin and twisted date branch and is used to describe that part left after the fruit has been plucked. The way that this branch is described as “old” is also most appropriate since old date branches are thinner and more twisted. So when the moon finishes its one full rotation on its orbit, the orbit looks very close to an old date branch.
Your Allegation:

My Response:
——————————————————————————
You’ve mentioned “nowhere in the Quran Allah says the earth rotates”. Nor Quran anywhere says Earth is stationary. So according to your logic Quran says earth is fixed!!! If I say John is a good person but don’t say anything about Joe, according to your logic Joe is bad!!! How ridiculous logic is this! The verse you are referring to prove your point that Quran infers the earth is fixed:
“ Verily! Allâh grasps the heavens and the earth lest they move away from their places, and if they were to move away from their places, there is not one that could grasp them after Him. Truly, He is Ever Most Forbearing, Oft Forgiving.” [Q 35:41]
Where in the verse it says that the earth is the center of the universe and it doesn’t move? It’s very clear from the verse that Allah is holding everything it their respective place so that they don’t move away from each other. We know that all celestial bodies are revolving and rotating on their respective axis and orbits very precisely while maintaining safe distances from each other. They never come closer or go further from their appointed route. Allah is referring how they don’t move away from each other and He holds them in places. If He didn’t do this everything would vanish after a catastrophic destruction of the whole universe.
Now let’s see what Quran actually says about the earth’s movement. In Al-Anbiya verse 33 Allah says, “It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all swim along, each in its rounded course.”
I quoted these verses from a Turkish interpretation of Koran. In the interpretation, the footnote written below the verse Enbiya/33 is as follows: “Although only two celestial bodies are mentioned, it is stated through a verb tense which is used for more than two things that all of them swim in a separate orbit. It can be inferred from this that all celestial bodies, together with the Sun and Moon, move in an orbit unique to them”.
This interpretation which is indeed applicable for the Anbiya/33 also applies to Yasin/40. Because, Arabic translation of the part translated as “all of them swim in an orbit” in both verses is exactly the same: “küllün fı felekiy yesbehun”.
A verb tense which is used for more than two things obviously exists in both two verses. Look closely what these verse says, which is very striking. It is obviously emphasized in the verses that “night and day” also rotate in an orbit. The reference made to night and day in the Quran is always related to the Earth’s night and day. In other words, what is actually stated in both of these two verses is the fact that Earth also rotates in an orbit just like the sun and moon!
For a moment, think about the movement of the earth in the space. While the earth is rotating around the sun, night and day which always and together exist above the earth also rotate in an orbit around the sun. From this perspective, the verses have an extremely subtle expression…
Another thing implied by the narration of the swimming of the earth in an orbit in this way by referring to night and day may be related to around what the rotation of the earth is realized. In other words, night and day in the earth emerge owing to the sun. By stating “night and day also float in an orbit”, the verses may well be referring to the fact that this orbit is around the sun.
As human beings we are looking for simple statement in the Quran regarding the earth’s movement, like the earth is just rotating or revolving. However when the supreme power God makes statement regarding anything it should be much more superior as these two verses demonstrate.
Reply against allegation against Inheritance law
————————————————————
In this post, I also would like to touch the allegation against the inheritance law.
According to the inheritance law this asset should be divided in the following order:
(2/3)X + (1/3)X + (1/8)X = $5000.
Now solving the equation by getting the value of X, the daughters are getting $2962.96, parents $1481.48 and the wife $555.55.
Why are you analyzing adding up all the fractions ignoring the asset value, which must be the constant amount to be divided.
If you know (and you must know) the amount or asset to be divided, no calculation should be difficult to understand.

@saj,
Quran wonders why/how Sun and Moon do not collide/catch each other (?)
Mr. Saj:
You are too smart and playing over-smart with your highly convoluted, deceptive and utterly dishonest and devastatingly illogical logic. Allah did not know at all that Sun is 90 millions miles away from the Moon. Had He know this, He would never brag about this at all. Verses are the testament for my claim. He was bragging that, though (according to His ignorance) Sun and moon is swimming supposedly in the same path, yet they do not collide or can not catch each other. This was the clear subject of His bragging about this. Here is what happened:
Allah is indeed a great scientist. I have the answer for this error. Ancient people saw (bare eye observations) Sun and Moon traveling from east to west (and west to east) seemingly in the same Sky area or same path, yet they do not collide or catch each other and causing day and night etc. These Quranic verses below once more confirms that the EARTH is fixed and never moves.
Quran- 35:41: Verily! Allâh grasps the heavens and the earth lest they move away from their places, and if they were to move away from their places, there is not one that could grasp them after Him. Truly, He is Ever Most Forbearing, Oft¬Forgiving.
Quran-31:10: He hath created the heavens (Skies) without supports (pillars) that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm Mountains/Hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed…..
(Quran- 21:31): And We have set on earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them.
(Quran-16:15): And he has cast the earth firm mountains lest it shake with you…
Allah thought earth is fixed at the center of the universe and never moves. Allah never could feel that this tiny earth is rotating (moving) constantly around the sun! He also thought that there is something calls sky (like roof over the earth) which also never moves because Mighty Allah is holding it fixed with His Mighty hand! What a ludicrous thinking by Allah!
Question for Saj:
1. What causes day and night? Are the so called movements/swimming (stated by Allah) of Sun and Moon has anything to do it?
2. Or, is the Earth’s rotation around the Sun causes day and night?
3. Has Allah ever said how big is Sun? He subjected Sun for the earth! Is that right?
Please tell me where in the Quran Allah said so! If you can show me this, I will withdraw my article from all sites. This is my promise. Thanks.

With regards to the ‘why/how Sun and Moon do not collide’ subject, you mention that “He was bragging that, though (according to His ignorance) Sun and moon is swimming supposedly in the same path, yet they do not collide or can not catch each other”
I’m not sure why you’ve picked this totally unrelated verse to prove the Quran’s inference regarding the orbits of the sun and the moon. There are a number of verses which directly talks about the orbits of sun and moon. Let’s look at the surah 21 verse 33:
“And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit.”
Here it say “each in an orbit”. This right here makes it clear they have their own orbit. You can ask anyone who has a good understanding of the English language what this statement means. So when you say “supposed in the same path”, you are not understanding the actual language here. I see no arguments here. I think before you start making any kind of arguments you should understand the actual language, and understand what it really means. I see you are not in the same page as what the message is.
Your Allegation
————————————————————-
Quran never say any where in the whole Quran that, THE EARTH ROTATES. Quran maintained Geo-centric theory in every respect.
My Response
————————————————————-
I don’t think you really read my rebuttal in my last post. I have shown how Allah in His infinite wisdom tells us in the Quran about the earth’s movement. I guess it is worth repeating the whole rebuttal here as you seem to be very confident that the Quran doesn’t deduce anywhere about the earth’s movement. This must be the reason why you write it in all CAPS. Please don’t be too hasty drawing your conclusion. You sound to be looking for an exact statement consisting of words “earth” and “rotation” to be positioned side by side. This is utterly wrong way to argue. You should be looking for a fact, not a statement. A same fact can be expressed in many different statements. As for example, let’s say we were having a chat in the USA. While we were having that conversation you were wondering if I had made any trip to Bangladesh in last two years. Obviously you were thinking any such statement as “I traveled to Dhaka last year” would get you the answer you were looking for. In one point of our conversation, I said “I purchased this shirt, which I’m wearing now, from Arong in Dhaka last year”. Now my question to you, have you got the intended information from this statement even though this statement is nowhere close to what you had in your mind? Of course you do. This statement not only tells you the information about my travel to Bangladesh, it also gives more than you were looking for. With this, besides telling about my trip to Bangladesh, this also tells about one of my shopping activities while I was there. Now keep this in your mind while reading following paragraphs.
Let’s see what Quran actually says about the earth’s movement. In Al-Anbiya verse 33 Allah says, “It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all swim along, each in its rounded course.”
I quoted this verse from a Turkish interpretation of Quran. In the interpretation, the footnote written below the verse Anbiya/33 is as follows: “Although only two celestial bodies are mentioned, it is stated through a verb tense which is used for more than two things that all of them swim in a separate orbit.
Look closely what these verses say, which is very striking. It is obviously emphasized in the verses that “night and day” also rotate in an orbit. The reference made to night and day in the Quran is always related to the Earth’s night and day. In other words, what is actually stated in both of these two verses is the fact that Earth also rotates in an orbit just like the sun and the moon! For a moment, think about the movement of the earth in the space. While the earth is rotating around the sun, night and day which always and together exist above the earth also rotate in an orbit around the sun. From this perspective, the verses have an extremely subtle expression…
Haven’t you still got the information you are looking for? If not, here’s a question for you: how do the earth’s day and night rotate in a rounded course if the earth is fixed?
Another thing implied by the narration of the swimming of the earth in an orbit in this way by referring to night and day may be related to around what the rotation of the earth is realized. In other words, night and day in the earth emerge owing to the sun. By stating “night and day also float in an orbit”, the verses may well be referring to the fact that this orbit is around the sun.
I know what you will be asking next; why there is no simple statement merely saying, the Earth rotates. Answer is easy if you have an open mind to listen.
1) This statement is much more superior than just a mere statement as "the earth rotates".
2) The Quran is not a science book, rather it’s a book of guidance for the humanity. It’s not Quran’s job to tell everything about astronomy, biology, oceanology, geology etc. You shouldn’t expect the Quran to make explicit statement such as:
O humanity, what you are believing about the earth, galaxies, sun, moon etc. are not correct. They actually work like this….
Allah created the universe and set laws for everything for their operations. Allah also intends laws for humankind as well. He also talks in His book about the difference between human beings and His other creations. He tells us that we, the human beings, are His best creation and He has given us super intelligence and free will. With this intelligence He expects us to explore and discover the miracles of His creations so that our belief in Him is validated. It’s not Allah’s responsibility to tell us about them, rather He wants us to discover them with the capabilities He has bestowed upon us. With our intelligence and scientific knowledge, whenever we make a discovery of His creation and realize that it has already been mention or hinted in the Quran, we are expected to compare that fact against Quranic statements. If it matches, this adds another reason to believe the divine authorship of the Quran. It is also clearly mentioned in the Quran that in every phase of humankind, people will not have all the knowledge. In every age, people should test Quran based on the knowledge they have, not the other way. I can see how some people including yourself try to portray Quran is a purely science book and discredit this book by comparing it against books of astronomy, or biology or geology or oceanology and through irrelevant questions such as why there are no mentions in the Quran about the size of the sun, why no specific statement about Mars, Jupiter, why there is no mention of complete solar system etc. etc. We humans have been given capability to find those out and Allah intends us to do so. It’s not His intention to reveal all the secret of his creation to you by His divine revelation. Would it really make any sense if in one hand He gives us capabilities to explore and find those truths and on the other hand He gives us all the secrets, which we have been intended to explore in the first place? I would like to repeat my statement once again, “Quran is not a science book, rather it’s a book of guidance for the humanity.” This is a spiritual book, which also talks more about how the humanity should lead their life. The Quran spends almost one third of it’s volume talking about the phase human beings will have to go through after death. As the life after death fully belongs to another dimension from our world, human knowledge will never be able to discover unless Allah tells us so. It makes perfect sense why Quran talks so much more about worldly laws (which Allah has set for us) and the life after death than those of sciences. However the amount of scientific facts mentioned in the Quran should be enough to convince the people with open minds and the truth seekers.

(Quran-16:15): And he has cast the earth firm mountains lest it shake with you…
<strong>The heavens are suspended without any pillar to be seen. The astronomers say that centripetal force and the force of gravity determine the motions of the heavenly bodies. These forces are the determining factors behind the positions of the heavenly bodies, not physical pillars.</strong>
My Response:
————————————————————-
You mentioned “The heavens are suspended without any pillar to be seen. The astronomers say that centripetal force and the force of gravity determine the motions of the heavenly bodies. These forces are the determining factors behind
the positions of the heavenly bodies, not physical pillars.”
Mr. Kamran, please tell me where in the Quran contradicts with the above statement. There would be contradiction if what is mentioned in the Quran is not the case in reality. Is Quran contradicting with the fact that the centripetal force and gravity are responsible for the heavenly bodies’ movements and firmness in their orbits? You need to understand that the Quran is talking to the humankind, which consists of people from all walks. As I said, the Quran is not a book of science and its’ intended readers are not the scientists and people of science alone. When Quran communicates it’s actually communicating with the people from all backgrounds of all ages of humanity.
Now let’s look at your allegation regarding the role of mountains to firm the earth. This is already a known fact by modern science. Today the Geologists tell us that the earth’s outer crust is hard and solid, and in the deeper layers they are hot and fluid and inhospitable for the existence of living creatures. The Geologists tell us that outer crust is very thin - hardly 1 to 10 miles - less than one percent of the radius of the earth, which is 3750 miles. And the outer crust is very thin and there are high possibilities of it shaking. Today Geologists tell us, it is due to the ‘folding phenomena’, which gives rise to mountain ranges - and these mountains, they prevent the earth from shaking; they act as ‘pegs’ as ‘stakes’. The Holy Qur’an says in chapter 78, verse 6 and 7 …
"We have made the earth as an expanse and the mountains as stakes."
The Arabic word ‘Avtaad’, means ‘Stakes’, means ‘Pegs’ - which matches with a recent discovery. The Holy Qur’an says in 88:19 as well as in 79:32:
"We have made the mountain standing firm."
There is a book by the title ‘The Earth’ which is a very famous book and an authority in this field, which is referred by most of the universities throughout the world, in this subject. One of its authors named Frank Press gives the illustration of the mountain in this book called ‘Earth’, as wedge shaped, and he says… “the function of the mountain is to stabilize the Earth’s Crust”. The very same information is mentioned in the Quran. Verses 21:31, 31:10, 16:15 :
“We have set on the earth mountains standing firm lest it would shake”
The Qur’an gives the functions of the mountain 1400 years ago, which we’ve discovered recently. Some Quran critics try to misguide people by saying that the Quran actually infers the functions of mountains of preventing earthquake. The Arabic word for earthquake is “Jiljaal”. In this case the word used is “Tamida”, which means shake or loose balance. It actually uses the word, “Tamidabikum”, which means shake with you. It’s very clear that Quran is referring to the flimsy nature of the outer crust of the earth and how the mountains are stabilizing the earth we are living on.

My Response:
————————————————————-
From my earlier rebuttals of this post, you should be getting the answers you are looking for point 1 and 2.
In your third point you are trying to prove that Allah didn’t know how big the sun by subjecting the sun for the earth.
Are you trying to say that because the sun is so much bigger than the earth and also the center of the solar system, the sun has to be treated as the superior and the earth is as a subordinate to the sun?? Now my question to you who do you think the Quran is revealed to? Is it revealed to the people of the earth or to any creatures in the sun? If Allah says to the people of the earth that He created the sun to serve you, why is it so difficult for you to understand? Can you deny the importance of sun for the existence of life in the earth? Who is serving who here? For the sake of argument you may ask why the role of sun is not mentioned for other solar bodies. In response to this, I would ask whether this information really is relevant when Allah communicates His message to the people of this earth. Why does He have to talk about how important the sun is for Mars or Venus? If there were any creatures in those planets and Allah communicated with them, He would definitely tell them the role of sun for them. This information is totally redundant when Allah is telling us the favor He bestows on us, i.e. the people of this earth.

I hope I have clearly showed you where in the Quran lie the answers of your queries. However I seriously doubt your sincerity in your above statement. I was really very disappointed to see your response with respect to my last rebuttals. You failed to demonstrate of your intention to listen and welcome other opinions. I was hoping to have an intelligent discussion from you. Instead you opened up your post with such statement regarding me as, "You are too smart and playing over-smart with your highly convoluted, deceptive and utterly dishonest and devastatingly illogical logic."
I don’t expect you to agree with everything when you have any discussion. Obviously you have your own belief and I do have mine. But such conviction as only you have the right thinking and everybody else is wrong, won’t help much to educate each other. I would appreciate if you stick to responding to my answers instead of attacking me. It’s too subjective to bring your emotion and attacking a person rather than sticking to the arguments. I don’t mind getting into a logical argument, but if you are attacking the person and using words that are impertinent, it’s hard to have an intelligent conversation.
Thanks.

No religion has insisted to spread misleading informations or to spread hatrat. Atleast Islam. You belong to which religion?

Is that right? Islam means peace and nothing but peace! And you want us to believe this biggest lie! Okay, here are some islamic peace for your kind perusal. Please read the following:
Killing verses of Koran: Quranic Verses that Ask to Kill Unbelievers!
(Koran considers all non-muslims including Jews and Christians—Kaffirs or unbelievers)
(By Syed Kamran Mirza)
(verses are taken mostly from Maolana Yusuf Ali’s translation)
Quran-(3:85) “Whoso desires another religion than Islam, it shall not be accepted of him; in the next world he shall be among the losers.”
Polytheists are the worst creatues [Allah vigorously hates Polytheists]
Quran: 98:6—YUSUFALI: Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.
47:4- “Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), strike off their heads; at length; then when you have made wide Slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives”: thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens.”
9:123: “Oh ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers and let them find harshness in you.”
2:191- “Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from wherever they drove you out.”
5: 45– “We ordained therein for them: “Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear. Toth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal.”
2:193- “Fight them on until there is no more tumult and religion becomes that of Allah”
9:29- “Fight those who do not believe in God and the last day… and fight People of the Book, (Christian and Jews) who do not accept the religion of truth (Islam) until they pay tribute (Zizziya tax) by hand, being inferior.”
8:17—It is not ye who Slew them; it is God; when thou threwest a handful of dust, it was not Thy act, but God’s…..” (Allah is a real merciful indeed!)
5:33-“The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution (by beheading), or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;”
8:12- “I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off.”
How can Islamic Mullahs blatantly hide these authentic hateful and cursing Quarnic verses? These Qur’anic scriptures (examples above) incited early Muslim Jihadis to behead thousands of non-Muslims and other infidels. These same Quranic verses may still inciting devout/fanatical Muslims of modern days. During the early period of Islam, especially during Islamic expeditions by Prophet Muhammad himself while he was in Medina, thousands of infidels were assassinated, brutally beheaded by the Jihadis. Below is a case in point collected from the authentic Islamic history to use as an example of Islamic beheading.
Proofs of beheading practice by Prophet Muhammad (According to “Sirat A,
Rasul” page 464):
“When Banu Qurayza Jewish tribe was surrendered (627 A.D.) unconditionally, the apostle confined them in Medina in the quarter of al-Harith, a woman of B. al-Najjar. Then the apostle went out to the market of Medina (which is still its market today) and dug trenches in it. Then he sent for them and struck off their heads in those trenches as they were brought out to him in batches tying theirs both hands with their necks. This beheading went on until the apostle made an end of them. There were 600 or 700 in all, though some put the figure as high as 800 or 900. Apparently Muhammad himself worked on the digging of the trench into which the massacred Jews were to be thrown. But he (Muhammad) did not only take part in those preparations, the formulation of the text states but also participated himself in beading of at least two of the leading Jews.
Sahi Buchari Hadiths #143, page-700 : Sulaiman Ibne Harb…Aannas Ibne Malek (ra) narrated, “in the war of Khaiber after the inhabitants of Banu Qurayza was surrendered, Allah’s apostle killed all the able/adult men, and he (prophet) took all women and children as captives (Ghani mateer maal).. Among the captives Rayhana a beautiful young Jewish girl was taken by Allah’s Apostle as booty whom He married after freeing her and her freedom was her Mohr.”
Here is the excerpt from Dr. Andew Bostom’s article in the Frontpage Magazine:
‘According to the biography of Prophet Muhammad by Ibn Ishaq, Prophet Muhammad himself sanctioned the massacre of the Qurayza, a vanquished Jewish tribe mercilessly. Thus some 600 to 900 men from the Qurayza were lead on Muhammad’s order to the Market of Medina. Trenches were dug and the men were beheaded, and their decapitated corpses buried in the trenches while Muhammad watched in attendance. Women and children were sold into slavery, a number of them being distributed as gifts among Muhammad’s companions, and Muhammad chose one of the Qurayza women (Rayhana) for himself. The Qurayza’s property and other possessions (including weapons) were also divided up as additional “booty” among the Muslims, to support further jihad campaigns.
The classical Muslim jurist al-Mawardi (a Shafi’ite jurist, d. 1058) from Baghdad was a seminal, prolific scholar who lived during the so-called Islamic “Golden Age” of the Abbasid-Baghdadian Caliphate. He wrote the following, based on widely accepted interpretations of the Qur’an and Sunna (i.e., the recorded words and deeds of Muhammad), regarding infidel prisoners of jihad campaigns:
“As for the captives, the amir [ruler] has the choice of taking the most beneficial action of four possibilities: the first to put them to death by cutting their necks; the second, to enslave them and apply the laws of slavery regarding their sale and manumission; the third, to ransom them in exchange for goods or prisoners; and fourth, to show favor to them and pardon them. Indeed such odious “rules” were iterated by all four classical schools of Islamic jurisprudence, across the vast Muslim empire.
For centuries, from the Iberian Peninsula to the Indian subcontinent, jihad campaigns waged by Muslim armies against infidel Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, Buddhists and Hindus, were punctuated by massacres, including mass throat slitting and beheadings. During the period of “enlightened” Muslim rule, the Christians of Iberian Toledo, who had first submitted to their Arab Muslim invaders in 711 or 712, revolted in 713. In the harsh Muslim reprisal that ensued, Toledo was pillaged, and all the Christian notables had their throats cut.
On the Indian subcontinent, Babur (1483-1530), the founder of the Mughal Empire, who is revered as a paragon of Muslim tolerance by modern revisionist historians, recorded the following in his autobiographical “Baburnama,” about infidel prisoners of a jihad campaign: “Those who were brought in alive [having surrendered] were ordered beheaded, after which a tower of skulls was erected in the camp.”
Historical background.
Beheading of the criminals with a sword or axe was a common practice by all ancient civilizations for thousands of years. Beheading was widely used in Europe, Asia and Africa (Muslim and non-Muslim alike) until the very early 20th century, and only recently entire civilized world have abandoned this ancient cruel practice of capital punishment. But this barbaric ancient practice still exists in the Muslim world only. Among them are—Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Yemen and Iran and erstwhile Talebani Afghanistan. Beheadings have also occurred (perpetrated by the Jihadis in the recent past) in Algeria, Nigeria, Kashmir, Chechnya and the Muslim-dominated southern Philippines. Iranian mullahs have cut off the heads of some political figures. The Beirut CIA station chief William Buckley was kidnapped by Hezbollah and sent to Iran, where he was beheaded in 1986.
The beheading Capital of the modern world—Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is the birth place of Islam. Holy Quran ( Sharia laws) is the Saudi Arabia’s constitution. Islamic Sharia (Islamic Hudut laws) was formulated from the Quran and ahadiths which permits beheading of the infidels and ugly criminals like killers. Please don’t come to make your empty claim—that Saudi Arabia is not a real Islamic country! You have to give us crucial reasons why Saudi is not a real Islamic country? Also you must give us examples where lies the real Islam? Also please do not make empty sound of “mistranslation” or your ludicrous claim of so called “out of context”. Quran is considered eternal by the fanatical Muslims. Therefore, nothing is out of context to the fanatics of Islam until the judgement day!
Saudi Arabia uses public beheading as the punishment for murder, rape, drug trafficking, sodomy and armed robbery, apostasy and certain other offences such as homosexuality illicit love affairs of Saudi girls (one Saudi princess was beheaded for illicit love). 45 men and 2 women were beheaded in 2002 and a further 52 men and 1 woman in 2003. The condemned of both sexes are given tranquillisers and then taken by police van to a public square or a car park after midday Friday prayers. Their eyes are covered and they are blindfolded. The police clear the square of traffic and a sheet of blue plastic sheet about 16 feet square is laid out on the ground. Dressed in their own clothes, barefoot, with shackled feet and hands cuffed behind their back, the prisoner is led by a police officer to the centre of the sheet where they are made to kneel facing Mecca. An Interior Ministry official reads out the prisoner’s name and crime to the crowd of witnesses. Saudi Arabia also cut (Chopping) hands and feet of the thieves. And Saudi does this as per Islamic code and tradition.
The Saudi government says the punishment (Qisas) is sanctioned by Islamic tradition. State-ordered beheadings are performed in courtyards outside crowded mosques in major cities after weekly Friday prayer services. A condemned convict is brought into the courtyard; hands tied, and forced to bow before an executioner, who swings a huge sword amid cries from onlookers of “Allahu Akbar!” Arabic for “God is great.”
What Qur’an Says about Jihad?
Jihad was mentioned in the Qur’an most frequently with the meaning of “warfare,” often coupled with “fi sabil Allah” (in the way of Allah). Jihad as warfare is a pivotal concern for the Qur’an, the Hadith and the Shari’ah which we shall explore later in this essay.
All most all the hateful, coercive, intimidating and tempting verses in the Qur’an were made in respect to the Jihad-Holy war.
Important to note: Prophet Muhammad while he was in Mecca did not have too many supporters; hence, he was very weak in power compare to the Pagans. It was at that time he brought some soft verses (maximum one dozen in the whole Qur’an) which our hypocritical Islamists use them to elude the truth of Islam. But in Medina Muhammad quickly assumed both religious and political power and leadership over the whole Median community. It was at that time he brought all those harsh/hateful (several hundreds of them) Qur’anic verses just to incite his followers to fight.
In the Holy Qur’an one can find hundreds of verses (Ayats) which dictates to fight holy wars (Jihad) against non-Muslims infidels. Let me cite here a few of them:
Qur’an-(9:5): “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, And seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war) ; but if they repent (accept Islam) and establish regular prayers and practices regular charity then open the way for them; for God is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Qur’an-(8:65): ” O Apostle ! Rouse the believers to the fight, if there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering , they will vanquish two hundred; if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the unbelievers; for these are a people without understanding.”
Qur’an-(2:216(: Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you
Qur’an-(2:191): “And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out—such is the reward of those who suppress faith.”
Qur’an-(9:29): “Fight those who believe not the Allah nor the last day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of truth even if they are the people of the book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”
Qur’an(48:20): “-.Allah promises you much booty (spoils of war) that you will capture from the defeated infidels-.”
Qur’an-(8:38): “And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression”
Qur’an-(8:12): I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them
Qur’an-(8:15,16): O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them. If any do turn his back to them on such a day - unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own)- he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed)!
Qur’an-(9:111): Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the
Qur’an-(9:73): O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey’s end.
Qur’an-(9:123): O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).
Qur’an-(4:95): O ye who believe! Shall I show you a commerce that will save you from a painful doom? You should believe in Allah and His messenger, and should strive for the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is better for you, if ye did but know. … Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than those who sit (at home).
Jihad as per Islamic-historians/Scholars/Philosophers:
We can find hundreds of books written by well-known Islamic authorities (Islamic Chintabid or thinker) on Jihad. A few examples of historical events and comments should be enough to lay the foundation that Jihad in Islamic history was primarily a Holy War against the infidels. Here are some examples:
In his book, ” Jurisprudence in Muhammad’s Biography” the Azhar scholar, Dr. Muhammad Sa’id Ramadan al-Buti wrote the following: “The Holy War (Islamic Jihad), as it is known in Islamic Jurisprudence, is basically an offensive war. This is the duty of Muslims in every age when the needed military power becomes available to them. This is the phase in which the meaning of Holy war has taken its final form. Thus the apostle of God said: ‘ I was commanded to fight the people until they believe in Allah and his messages-..(page 134, 7th edition) “.
Azhar scholar Dr. Buti adds in the same book (page-263): The apostle of Allah started to send military detachments from among his followers to the various Arab tribes which were scattered in the Arab Peninsula to carry out the task of calling (these tribes) to accept Islam. If they did not respond, they (Muslims) would kill them. That was during the 7th Hgira year. The number of the detachments amounted to ten.”
The Baydawi quoted in his book (The lights of Revelation, page-252): “Fight Jews and Christians because they violated the origin of their faith and they do not believe in the religion of the truth (Islam), which abrogated all other religions. Fight them until they pay the poll-tax (Ziziya tax) with submission and humiliation.”
In another place of his book (The Jurisprudence in Muhammad’s Biography) Al-Buti (published in Egypt) quoted: “The concept of Holy War (Jihad) in Islam does not take into consideration whether defensive or an offensive war. Its goal is the exaltation of the Word of Allah and the construction of Islamic society and the establishment of Allah’s Kingdom on Earth regardless of the means. The means would be offensive warfare. In this case, it is the apex, the noblest Holy War. It is legal to carry on a Holy War.”
Ibn Hisham-Al Sohaily quoted in his famous book (Al- Rawd al- Anaf, page-50,51 ): ” No two religions are to exist in the Arab Peninsula .” Therefore, Saudi Government does not allow any other religion to manifest their religious task. What a tolerant and peaceful religion Islam is!
The well-known Egyptian scholar, Sayyid Qutb, (Sayyid Qutb, Milestones, Revised Edition, chapter. 4, “Jihaad in the Cause of God”) notes four stages in the development of jihad:
1. While the earliest Muslims remained in Mecca before fleeing to Medina, God did not allow them to fight;
2. Permission is given to Muslims to fight against their oppressors;
3. God commands Muslims to fight those fighting them;
4. God commands the Muslims to fight against all polytheists.
Sayyid Qutb views each stage to be replaced by the next stage in this order, the fourth stage to remain permanent). To justify the universal and permanent dimensions of jihad he cites the following Qur’anic passages:
Qur’an: 4:74-32: They ought to fight in the way of God who have sold the life of this world for the life of the Hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of God and is killed or becomes victorious, to him shall We (God) give a great reward…
Qur’an: 8:38-40: and fight them until there is no oppression and the religion is wholly for God….
Qur’an: 9:29-32: Fight against those among the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) who do not believe in God and the Last Day, who do not forbid what God and His messenger have forbidden, until they are subdued and pay jizyah (tax on non-Muslims) …
Sayyid Qutb, however, pours scorn upon those who view jihad as solely defensive:
… They are ignorant of the nature of Islam and of its function, and that it has a right to take the initiative for human freedom. Thus wherever an Islamic community exists which is a concrete example of the Divinely-ordained system of life, it has a God-given right to step forward and take control of the political authority so that it may establish the Divine system on earth, while it leaves the matter of belief to individual conscience.
Maulana Mawdudi’s Fatwa:
Likewise, the popular Pakistani Muslim revivalist Abu’l Ala Mawdudi rejects any distinction between offensive and defensive jihad. So also, the distinguished contemporary Pakistani scholar, Fazlur Rahman, while recognizing the extensive presence of jihad in the Qur’an, rejects the stand of those modern Muslim apologists who have tried to explain the jihad of the early (Muslim) Community in purely defensive terms (Fazlur Rahman, Islam (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1979) 37).
According to the Encyclopaedia of Islam, “the fight is obligatory even when the unbelievers have not started it (E. Tyan, “Djihad”, Encyclopaedia of Islam, 2nd ed. (Leiden: Brill, 1965). In the words of Rudolph Peters the “ultimate aim of jihad is ‘the subjection of the unbelievers’ and ‘the extirpation of unbelief’” (Rudolph Peters, “Jihad”, The Encyclopedia of Religion (NewYork: Macmillan, 1987) Vol. 8:88-91).
All of these authorities simply echo Islam’s fundamental assumption that world sovereignty must be in the hands of Muslims.
Qur’an: 16:101: And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.
On the basis of these verses there arose within the Muslim community the principle of Qur’anic interpretation, called naskh (”abrogation”) which stipulated that earlier peaceful verses could be abrogated by later militant verses, i.e., in the case of jihad the Meccan verses were abrogated by the Medinan verses. It is well known that many Muslim scholars in the early history of Islam contended that Qur’an 9:5, sometimes called “the verse of the sword”, abrogated a host of peaceful passages in earlier portions of the Qur’an.
What it has signified in the past and signifies at present for masses of Muslims is well summarized in a statement by the world renowned Ibn Khaldun (A.D. 1332-1406), Islam’s great historian, sociologist and philosopher:
In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the (Muslim) mission and (the obligation to) convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force. Therefore, caliphate and royal authority are united in (Islam), so that the person in charge can devote the available strength to both of them at the same (Ibn Khaldun, The Muqaddimah, trans. by Franz Rosenthal (New York: Pantheon Books Inc., 1958) Vol. 1:473).
(The Translation of the Meanings of Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1:xxiv-xliii ).
So, it is incumbent upon us (Muslims) to follow the path which Allah’s Messenger (Muhammad) adopted to avoid polytheism and heresy in all its shapes and to take the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Traditions as torches in front of us to guide us. We have to teach our brethren and convey the Message to non-Muslims all over the world as much as possible in order to save them from the Hell-fire. We have to prepare ourselves to stand in the face of our enemy and to possess the means of power and to participate in the progress of useful industries in order to protect our religion and be powerful enough to face our enemy, as Allah, the Elevated says in Surat al-Anfal (8:60):
Qur’an: 8:60: Against them (kaffirs) make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war (tanks, places, missiles and other weapons, etc.) to strike terror into the (hearts of) the Enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others beside, whom you may not know, but whom Allah does know. Whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allah, shall be repaid to you, and you shall not be treated unjustly
How many terrorists would appeal to this verse “to strike terror into the hearts of the enemy”?
The majority of the Qur’an’s texts themselves clearly identify jihad as physical warfare in Islam and, Islamically, God’s way of establishing the Kingdom of God on earth. Likewise, from the Hadith and the earliest biographies of Muhammad it is just as evident that the early Muslim community understood these Qur’anic texts to be taken literally. Historically, therefore, from the time of Muhammad onwards, jihad as physical warfare in support of the message of Islam has been a reality for the Muslim community. Hence, it comes as no surprise when even terrorists (Osama and his al-Qaeda) easily appeal to these source materials to justify their actions, not to speak of their teachers who teach the theory and the art of terrorism. September 11, 2001, terrorist act in the soil of America is the glittering example of Jihadi mindset of Islamist like Osama bin Laden.
Qur’anic Ayats (I just mentioned above) and numerous Sahi Hadiths of same kind were instrumental for Muslims to dedicate their strength & minds for the cause of Islam. Therefore, in the name of spreading the religion, devout Muslim fighters killed millions of people while occupying neighboring Arab lands such as Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq and non-Arab countries like India, Turkey, Libya, Iran etc. Even Spain had fallen into their hands for hundreds of years. I simply wonder were these wars defensive. Were those swords used by Islamic soldiers to occupy country after country be considered a symbol of forgiveness or mercy? Following Muhammad’s death, his companions fought each other in relentless savage wars competing for authority.
In summary, Islamic Jihad with the help of Islamic sword–hundreds of tribes were wiped out from the Arabian Peninsula. Thousands were orphaned and widowed. Hazzaz bin Yousuf killed more than a hundred thousand Sahabis, Ibne Khattal was killed in Kaba’a. Later Abdulla Bin Zubair was killed in the same Kaba’a. By the end of the first civil war of Muslims, all the Badari Sahabis were killed. By the end of three civil wars all the Sahabis were killed “it sucked up all the strength of Muslims” ( Bokhari). Ten thousand Muslims were killed in the Jamal war between Hazrat Ali (RA) and Bibi Ayesha (RA). Islamic scholar Dr. Abu Zayd Shalabi claimed in his book (page-75), in the ‘battle of Alees’ which took place on the border of Iraq, (Siffin war between Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Mwabia ), the great Islamic General Khalid killed 70,000 people.
Thousands of non-Muslims were killed. After the death of Prophet Muhammad, there were four most favorite disciples of Prophet who ruled the Islamic kingdom established by the prophet Muhammad, who were known as the most pious caliphs. Out of these four Caliphs-three of them were brutally assassinated, and only one had natural death because of his old age and very short rule of the Islamic state. Karbala was flooded with blood with a roar of “Allahu Akbar!” Was it because of the fact that Islamic sword was the sign of Mercy? The fact of the matter is-sword can never be the sign of mercy! Period.
Global Agenda: As I cited various valuable quotes, which clearly depicted a special and unique feature, which is totally absent in any other monolithic religions of the world. Unlike any other world religion-Islam has an ulterior motive in its agenda. Islam considers it has a sacred and mandatory God given duty to spread Islamic message (Din-e-Islam) to all the inhabitants of the world. Their ultimate wishful goal is to convert and bring entire mankind under the fold of Islam, the only true religion of Allah. To this end-two main groups are working very hard. These two groups are: (a) Militant/radical Mullahs, (b) Educated/elite western residing true believing Muslims (Muslims of the ummatic groups in the west such as: AMC, CAIR, ICNA, ISNA, NABIC etc). Here we can exclude group-C Muslims (general God fearing innocent gullible Muslims who constitute about 70-80% of the total Muslims.
Both the groups (A & B) have one thing common in their minds. That is to convert sufficient peoples to Islam in order to establish Islamic Sharia’h or Huhud Laws (Allah’s laws just like Afghan Taliban state) as the state governing administration. Here the main difference is-group A (Militant/fanatics) is engaged in armed struggles (Holy war, Terrorism); and group-B (mainly western resident) is engaged in secret and peaceful propagation with sweet talks and peaceful persuasion of the gullible western peoples by deceitful sermons in the mosques and in various annual and semi-annual Islamic conferences and meetings (Ummatic conference). Both have one last thing in mind-to establish Islamic Sharia’h law in the state.
Conclusion:
Hope it is now clear why Islamic jihadis are cutting necks (beheading), chopping wrists, hands and legs of anybody who dares to go against Allah and Prophet. Because they know more than anybody of us that ‘beheading’ is of course, prescribed method of Islamic killing. Islamists also consider beheading as the most degrading way of killing lowly human beings (called Kaffirs) and they love to use this brutal barbaric method to kill any infidels, because they hate infidels worst than the dog.
Thanks to our blind-eyed hypocritical Muslim elites (both residing inside their native lands and outside in the western paradise of democracy) for their intentional ignorance about the real Islam. Their broken records of “this is not real Islam” will only add more fuel to the infernos of jihadis mindsets to commit more and more Islamic barbarism. Uttering the most heinous phrase: “This is not the real Islam” will do no good to the millions of Muslims. Mind you, Islamic terrorists, al-Qaeda jihadists, Osama-bin-laden, and so called Wahabi followers are all perfect and real Muslims by the book. They are the ardent followers of the Islamic scriptures. These jihadis will never listen to your logic or advice; they all will take advice and teachings from the Holy book called Quran and sahi hadiths (traditions of Prophet Muhammad).
Time has arrived now to identify and intervening the real cause of this ancient medieval stupidity. Real problem is with the ancient teachings of Islam (read Qur’an) which are outdated and no longer fitting the today’s civilized world. Nothing can change this precarious situation of Muslims unless we realize the real problem and take care of it.

Dear Syed Kamran Mirza,
I have read a few of your wonderful works on the Quranic contradictions which in my opinion would not be easily accepted by all muslims, however things may true. The reasons could be:
1. A belief system (to accept Quran and its only last prophet Muhammad in order to inherit heaven)has been indoctrinated in the mind since childhood;
2.Quran promotes that Islam is the only true religion;
3.Islam does not encourage female muslims to a sound education;
4.Fear principle has been deeply embedded in their hearts;
5.Apostates are criminally punished;
6.Islam encourages to hold on to a government of a country so that its laws could be effectively administered;
7.Quran abhors reasonings and intelligent thinkings; etc
To my mind you have gone an extra mile in the creative thinking and reasoning. Most religions survived in most countries where illiteracy is rampant and because the language of the scriptures were not easily understood by or readily available to their masses.
It would NOT be very difficult soon with the global internet services being available, to break the minds of little few at a time like a multi-level-marketing system to enlighten some great number to see the mess most religions have created.
The West has a watered down thinking to this idea of “Why must you need a religion or who is god?” when things are not happening as being promised in the old testaments, bible, quran etc. Never in the modern times we have heard the angels coming to help people in distrest due to wars, earth quakes, real fires here on earth. People have been clothed in mirths, myths and stories.
Most of western seekers are seeking for the truth of reality of existence than that of the crab stories of the scriptures.
A realised person of modern times of Mumbai quotes:
“Put your awareness to work, not your mind. The mind is not the right instrument for this task. The timeless can be reached only by the timeless. Your body and your mind are born subject to time; only awareness is timeless, even in the now.”
Glad to communicate with you help the masses from the destructions so far caused to humanity due to certain religions.

In fact whole Koran is like this; Allah said different things in different times, only to satisfy some ancient Arab idiots. That is why Koran is loaded with all sorts of clear contradictions and plenty of errors in scientific, historical, political, ethical and social matters. Please read my entire article to learn about Koran.
Mr. Saj, just remember this old saying: “You can fool some people for sometimes; but you can never fool all people all the times.” Therefore, time has come for Muslims to admit errors and contradictions in Koran.
Question: How Allah’s making times fits with today’s scientific knowledge of making Earth and entire universe? Does Allah’s time-periods anyway fit cosmological time period of science today? Could you tell us from entire Koran if Allah ever said any form that—Earth moves? Please answer these questions.
By the way, why don’t you rebut other Koranic contradictions and scientific errors from my article? Please go ahead! I am ready to respond to you.

I hope the readers can read your first paragraph and judge how much intelligence is present in here. You basically attacked me and accusing me of fooling readers by giving deceptive and convoluted logic, but failed to explain why you think so.

My Response
—————————————————————-
I’ve already explained how the mentioning of creation of heavens and the earth in the Quran is perfectly conformity with the modern scientific knowledge.

I’m sorry to say your post doesn’t qualify to be source of any kind of knowledge to me. All these points are very common in anti-Quran and anti-Muslim websites. Many of them can be answered by just reading the Quran directly and understand the context of those verses. Some of them will require common sense and basic scientific knowledge.

I already mentioned in my very first post that I would reply whenever I would get time and would do so few pieces at a time. As soon as I had some downtime, I posted my rebuttals. Please don’t assume that lack of my posting is due to lack of my knowledge in responding to your post, rather it is solely due to lack of my time. When I was reading your post I thought I had convincing replies for all your allegations, but unfortunately there is no quick and easy way to transmit my mind to the blog. I need to put them in writing to post them. I will certainly do so whenever I get opportunity. However I already have rebutted quite a few of your allegations. You don’t need to wait for the whole package before giving responses to my rebuttals. You should respond whatever I’ve covered so far. Please respond to the points without bringing your emotion in your post.
Thanks.

It is He Who appointed the sun to give radiance, and the moon to give light, assigning it phases so you would know the number of years and the reckoning of time. Allah did not create these things except with truth. We make the Signs clear for people who know. (Qur’an, 10:5)
And We have decreed set phases for the moon, until it ends up looking like an old date branch. (Qur’an, 36:39)
In the first of the above verses, Allah has clearly revealed that the Moon will be a means of measurement for people to calculate the year. Furthermore, our attention is also drawn to the fact that these calculations will be performed according to the positions of the Moon as it revolves in its orbit. Since the angles between the Earth and Moon and the Moon and Sun constantly change, we see the Moon in different forms at different times. Furthermore, our ability to see the Moon is made possible by the fact that it is illuminated by the Sun. The amount of the lighted half of the Moon we see from Earth changes. Bearing in mind these changes, a number of calculations can be made, making it possible for human beings to measure the year.
In former times a month was calculated as the time between two full moons, or the time it took the Moon to travel around the Earth. According to this, one month was equal to 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes. This is known as the “lunar month.” Twelve lunar months represent one year, according to the Hijri calendar. However, there is a difference of eleven days between the Hijri calendar and the Gregorian calendar, in which a year is the time it takes the Earth to orbit the Sun. Indeed, attention is drawn to this difference in another verse:
They stayed in their Cave for three hundred years and added nine. (Qur’an, 18:25)
We can clarify the time referred to in the verse thus: 300 years x 11 days (the difference which forms every year) = 3,300 days. Bearing in mind that one solar year lasts 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 45.5 seconds, 3,300 days/365.24 days = 9 years. To put it another way, 300 years according to the Gregorian calendar is equal to 300+9 years according to the Hijri calendar. As we can see, the verse refers to this finely calculated difference of 9 years. (Allah knows best.) There is no doubt that the Qur’an, which contains such pieces of information, which transcended the everyday knowledge of the time, is a miraculous revelation.
Note: More Scientific proofs are provided in the next section below.
8- The Noble Quran, undoubtedly, serves as a clear and irrefutable confirmation and evidence that the Lunar Calendar is indeed the most accurate calendar of all, and it is the calendar that Allah Almighty wants us to use according to the Noble Quran.
3- The Scientific Proofs:
The following articles confirm the data above:
From: Moon’s S-shaped orbit around earth is shaped like a branch of a date tree, mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science:
“Eclipses, be they solar or lunar, occur when the Earth, Sun and Moon are in a line. If the Moon is in-between the Earth and the Sun, it blocks the view of the Sun from some parts of the Earth, and this produces a solar eclipse. If, on the contrary, it is the Earth that is in-between the Sun and Moon, then the earth will block the light from the Sun before it can get to the Moon. Since moonlight is just the light the Moon reflects from the Sun, this will darken the Moon, and we get a lunar eclipse.
Since the Moon goes around the Earth every 28 days, shouldn’t we expect a solar eclipse about every 28 days (when the Moon is new), and a lunar one in the same period, (when the Moon is full) ?
Well, this would be so if the orbit of the Moon were in the same plane as the orbit of the Earth around the Sun. But we know eclipses are rarer than that; and the Moon’s orbit is not in the same plane. Instead, it is tilted with respect to it, and the Moon does not in general pass directly on the Earth-Sun line. Moreover, the Moon’s orbit tilt varies slowly. To have an eclipse, then, it is not enough that the three bodies be in the right order; the Moon’s orbit should also be at the right tilt.”
We already saw above the accurate calculation of differences between the Lunar and the Gregorian calendars in both the Noble Quran and Science:
“In former times a month was calculated as the time between two full moons, or the time it took the Moon to travel around the Earth. According to this, one month was equal to 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes. This is known as the “lunar month.” Twelve lunar months represent one year, according to the Hijri calendar. Dear Mr Saj,
I have noticed your comments posted here on 20th May on inheritance law. This reminds me a comment made by a British journalist after interviewing Bangabandhu back in 1973, “Pak Army massacred Bangladesh, but Sheikh Mujib’s English was so poor, he simply massacred English”. So, your interpretations on inheritance law indicate you massacred both the law and the rule of mathematics.
Firstly, you tried to force the law into a wrong mathematical formula by bringing in a wrong variable X for your example amount 5000. It is contrary to the facts of the law. The correct formula according to the law should have been (2/3) X + (1/3) X + (1/8) X = X, making 1.125 X = X, which is impossible in mathematics proving that the law stated in the Quran is not correct and cannot be expressed by any mathematical formula.
Secondly, you massacred the rule of mathematics by equating fractions 2/3 and 3/5 by saying rounding decimal points of 0.66 to be 0.6. It shows how poor you are in mathematics. It would be better if you stop trying to enter into such territory if you are not skilled enough. It is a laughing stock to me indeed.

Goodday friends,
I am amused by the message of talha (Posted December 1, 2009 at 11:31 am)
Talha wrote,
“my faith says that there is not even a single mistake in quran but by reading this article my mind says that these are clear mistakes n yet i have confirmed also by reading 1st mistake about creation of heavens n eart told by quran but still my faith says that there isn’t any contradiction in quran.”
This is exactly how the Muslim mind works. For others understanding comes before faith. But for Muslims, faith comes before understanding. A common Muslim mindset is,
“I do not seek to understand in order to believe. I believe in order to understand. We should not aim to understand what we have believed after we are confirmed of our Islamic faith,”
That’s why Muslims fail the ‘reality test’. They live in a constant dream-like state.
In this situation, even if he spends his entire life studying Qur’an, Ahadith and Muhammad’s biography he will never detect a single error in the Qur’an though he will easily find similar type of error in other scriptures. He will never notice that Muhammad was a criminal, a liar, a pedophile, a shameless womanizer, a mass murderer and a ruthless tyrant, though minor character flaws of some Catholic Priests and their sex-scandals will never go unnoticed.
Even if the contradictions of Qur’an or, Muhammad’s flawed character is pointed out, his sick mind will try to camouflage them. All the contradictions and errors will appear as clear proofs of its Divinity. They will deceive themselves into believing that non-Muslims either know that Islam is truth and reject is out of pure unreasonableness or else are simply ignorant of it. This is how Muslim minds are groomed to become lifelong zombies that they can’t apply minimum logic and reason to discover the true nature of Islam. Their definitions of ‘good’ and ‘bad’, ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ and ‘logical’ and ‘illogical’ are reversed.
Is there any doubt that Islam is a mental disease in the guise of a religion? It sucks out the brain and thinking capability.
Best regards

God created the Heaven first or, the Earth first (?)—See answered below-
As per The Qur’an Both created at the same time-Al Quran-21:30.
[Quran-2:29]: It is He who hath created for you all things that are on Earth; THEN He turned to the Heaven and made them into seven firmaments (Skies)…. Wrong translation
correct translation is –It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge—By Yusuf Ali
Here Arabic word –SUMMA-
1.Then
2.Moreover
3.Simultaneously
So here correct word is moreover or simultaneously.
[Quran- 79:27-30]:–
27. What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? ((Allah)) hath constructed it:
28. On high hath He raised Its canopy, and He hath Given it order and perfection.
29. Its night doth He endow with darkness, And its splendour doth He bring out (with light).
30. And the earth, moreover, Hath He extended (To a wide expanse);
In Ayat 30 it is talking about exact shape of earth. Here Arabic word used is dahaha-means-Ostrich-egg-i.e Geo-spherical-flattened at poles.
Numerical contradictions—Regarding 6-days –see answered below:
Answer: Heavens and the Earth created in Six days The Qur’an says that the heavens and the earth were created in 6
days
But people allege that Quran (41:9-12) says its 8 days! Lets read and then I’ll explain the reason for the confusion!
Say: Is it that ye Deny Him Who created The earth in two Days? And do ye join equals With Him? He is The Lord of (all) The Worlds.
He set on the (earth), Mountains standing firm, High above it, And bestowed blessings on The earth, and measured therein Its sustenance In four Days. Alike for (All) who ask.
41:11-Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, And it had been (as) smoke:He said to it And to the earth:“Come ye together, Willingly or unwillingly.”
They said: “We do come (Together), in willing obedience.”
41:12-So He completed them As seven firmaments In two Days, and He
Assigned to each heaven Its duty and command. And We adorned The lower heaven With lights, and (provided it) With guard. Such Is the Decree of (Him)
The Exalted in Might, Full of knowledge.
Quran (41:9-12) If you analyze these verses carefully, it speaks about 2 different
Creations: the earth and the heaven.
The earth excluding the mountains was created in 2 days and the mountains were set on the earth standing firm and blessed and measured its sustenance in 4
days. Therefore the earth along with the mountains was created in 6
days according to verse 9 and 10.
Verse 11 and 12 says, simultaneously the heavens were created in 2 days. The Arabic word used in the beginning of verse 11 of Surah Fussilat is summa which
Means ; ‘then’ or ‘moreover’ or ‘simultaneously’.
Why the confusion? The Arabic word “summa” has 3 meanings!
1.Then
2.Moreover
3.Simultaneously
Some translations of The Quran translate the Arabic word “summa” as then! If ‘then’ is wrongly used for summa then the total of the creation of
heaven and earth will be 8 days which will conflict with other verses
of the Qur’an which says heavens and earth were created in 6 days
and will also conflict with the COMMON ORIGIN OF EARTH AND HEAVEN as well as the verse of the Qur’an Surah Al Ambiya chapter 21 verse 30 which says that
heavens and the earth were created simultaneously.
Therefore the correct translation of the word summa in this verse
would be ‘moreover’. Abdullah Yusuf Ali has rightly translated the
word summa or moreover which clearly gives an indication that while
the earth along with the mountains, etc. was created in 6 days
simultaneously the heavens were created in 2 days. Therefore the
total does not come to 8 days but 6 days.
For example I say that I built my house and garden in 6 days! Then I say I built the foundation in 2 days!
I completed my house in 4 days!
Simultaneously, built my garden in 2 days!
In short, I was building my house and garden at the same time simultaneously! Similarly in Surah Al-Baqara chapter 2 verse 29 “It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Then He turned to the heaven and made them into seven firmaments. And of all things He hath perfect knowledge.” Quran (2:29) Here again there is a mistranslation! Again the Arabic word “summa” should be moreover or simultaneously! THE QURAN HAS NO ERRORS! NOT A SINGLE!
Allah’s Days Equal to 1000 Years or 50,000 Years (?)—See Answered below-
Al-Quran-22:47 - Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But Allah will not fail in His Promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.
Here talking about the Day after the Day of Judgment. You are talking out of context.
Al-Quran-32:5 - He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning
Here talking about the Day of Judgment.
Al-Quran-70:4 -The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years:
Here talking about the day before the Day of Judgment.
I don’t know why Mr. Syed Kamran Mirza is talking out of context.
Fallacies on Sun-set and Sun-rise (?)—See answered
In Sura 18: 83-90 talking about Zul-qarnain’s story.
Quran-18:86-You quoted wrongly.
Correct one- Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: “O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness.”
If anybody seeing sun setting in water does it mean it’s a setting place of sun. Not surely. Every day I see sun setting in pond it does not mean that pond is the setting place.
Again you quoted wrongly:
Quran-18:86 Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against the sun.
Here Zul-qarnain seeing the rising of Sun it does not mean that it a rising place.
So know the meaning properly.
A resting place for Sun: (?)—-See answered.
Al-Quran-36:38-
In this ayat its talk about life of Sun i.e. after predetermined time sun will extinguish.
Arabic word-Mustaqarrin-Particular place or time.
Arabic-word-tajree-means –runs.
So meaning there by –Sun will continue its course of action for the predetermined time.
The same confirmed by Scientist.
“The death of sun” broadcast by National Geography TV-20 March-2006,director: Rabinder Minhas, part no-25,season-3
Same news came in BBC too.
Quran wonders why/how Sun and Moon do not collide/catch each other (?)—See answered-
A) Shape Of Earth-
Sura —Luqman– verse –29
“ Seest thou not how Allah merges night into day and day into night.”
Here merges means slowly and gradually change. Night slowly and gradually merge into day and vise versa—Its proved that earth is spherical.
If earth is flat then there would have been sudden change of night and day. But practically we see that night and day slowly change to each other.
Same mentioned in several places in Quran…
Sura— Zumar—–Verse -5, Sura—Furqan—–verse-62, Sura—Araf——–Verse-54
Sura—Yasin——-Verse-40 Sura— Baqra—–Verse-164, Sura—-Jasiya—-Verse-5
And lastly “the earth more ever, hath He made is egg shaped”—79:30
In this Ayat arabic word Dahaha means Ostrich’s egg i.e. flattened at poles, the exact shape of earth.
B) Rotation of Earth and Sun—
Al-Quran-21:33-It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.
Here Arabic Word Yashbahun-Derived from-Sabaha-Means-Motion
If it is used for man on ground –means- walking or running
If it is used for man in water–means- swimming ( not floating )
If it is used for celestial body –means- flying through space as well as rotating.
So know Arabic and get proper meaning.
Al-Quran-36:40—. It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
Here it is clearly informed that no one collides as each moving on its own orbit. It does not required to give position. You tell me is it wrong or right. Have you seen collision.
Why Allah created Stars (?)——
Nowhere in the Quran it is mentioned that all stars are created as missiles to drive away Satans (Evils)…
If anybody (enemy) attacking you or your house and want to make damage of you then what you will do, will you let him leave or drive him away?
Now come to the point of stars used by almighty Allah, what exactly they are–
Asteroids:- Billion of space rock, known as Asteroids, orbit the sun within
the solar system.
Comets:- They are small, irregularly shaped lumps of snow and rocky dust,
each following its own orbit around the sun.
-> As it gets closer to the sun, their nucleus develops a huge head
and two long trails. Comets then large enough & bright enough to be
seen in earth’s sky.
Meteors:- Every night, bright streaks of light can be seen in earth’s sky, are meteors,
also known as SHOOTING STARS meaning there by these are being used for shooting
so we can say that these are thrown towards some targets.–Encyclopedia of space by Heather couper and
Nigel Henbest-Page-146.
->They are caused by pieces of rock and dust-lost by comets or colliding
asteroids-which burn up as they travel through earth’s atmosphere.
->These particle, Meteoroids-known as shooting stars, are scattering through out
the solar system. Each year earth sweep up 200000 tones of meteoroids.
-> When a meteoroids enters earth’s atmosphere, it is heated by friction
and evaporates ,producing a trail of light.
->The larger the meteoroids, the brighter the meteor. The brightest
one are known as fire ball-Exactly same described in the Quran.
->The meteoroid that created this fire ball, seen in march 1933-Page-147.
->Ten of thousands of fireballs occur in earth’s atmosphere each year.
->Meteorites-each year 3000 space rocks to burn up in earth’s atmosphere and
land on earth’s surface.
->Meteorites are also found on moon.( Encyclopedia of space by Heather couper and
Nigel Henbest-Page -148)
->Scientist find 10 meteorites a year by searching undidturbed areas of the earth
including Antarctica, the sahara desert, and desert in Australia–Page-149.
->The largest known meteorite was found in the ground in 1920-it is called Hoba
west after its landing site in south west Africa.
->Donnerstein meteorite which fell near Ensisheim, France in 1492.
->A meteorites shower in Jilin, China on 8 march 1976 was the most widely observed fall in history.
->Impact crater are still occasionally formd on earth. In Februry 1947,23 tonnes of fragments
fell in the Sikhote alin mountains, Siberia, and produced craters up to 26 m in diameter.-page-151
From this discussion and profound truth found by scientist of shooting stars as mentioned in The Qur’an matched properly, no discrepancy, no damaged occurred on Earth
For living beings and still no report of damage. These are the signs of Almighty God. Choice is your.

My humble questions to the readers, please tell me how come Allah is telling us that He decorated lower heaven (Sky) by stars.
Ans:
(By the Sky with (its) Tightened weave) (Sûrat Al Zâriyât – verse 7) The latest discovery by a group of scientists from Germany, America and UK who used the supercomputer to draw a thumbnail for the universe, then they saw the galaxies in a tightened weave.
If we look attentively at this photo, it is easy to realize that galaxies are not distributed randomly but in a long accurate weaves and the length of each weave is about hundreds of millions of light years .so, those scientists realized that there is a tightened weave in the sky, therefore they used the term (cosmic web). After that they released an article with title: ” How filaments of galaxies are woven into the cosmic web “. In this research scientists used the same koranic word (weave), at this moment I realized that the verse talks about this weave as god says
By the Sky with (its) Tightened weave).
Why Mountains were created (?)—See answer.
Nowhere in The Quran it is mentioned that Mountains are there to prevent earthquake.
In Al-Quran 21:31,16:15,31:10-The Arabic word used id Tamida-means m shaking.
arabic word for earth quake is Zalzala.
So Moutains created to prevent the shaking of the earth not preventing earthquake.
You Read “Understanding Earth” By Frank Press ((born December 4, 1924) is an American geophysicist) and mentioned the same thing.
I can easily understand that you don’t have any knowledge of Arabic.
Quran foretold about cosmic expansion of Big-bang theory!
Al-Quran 51:47–With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of space.
Arabic word Sama-means-Universe –containing all cluster of galaxies.
Arabic word “Muusi-uun”, in the term “inna Lamuusiuun” translated as “it is We who are steadily expanding it” comes from the verb “evsea” meaning
“to expand”. The prefix “La” means “ to great extent”.
So this expression therefore means “ We expand the universe to a great extent”.
Stiphen Hawking in his book “Brief History of Time said “The discovery of the expanding universe is the greatest discovery of this century”.
Big-Bang theory foretold in Quran! —–
Chapter 21:30
Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
Heaven
1. The sky or universe as seen from the earth; the firmament. Often used in the plural.
2. Christianity.
a. often Heaven The abode of God, the angels, and the souls of those who are granted salvation.
b. An eternal state of communion with God; everlasting bliss.
3. Any of the places in or beyond the sky conceived of as domains of divine beings in various religions.
4.
a. Heaven God: Heaven help you!
b. heavens Used in various phrases to express surprise: Good heavens!
5. The celestial powers; the gods. Often used in the plural: The heavens favored the young prince.
6. A condition or place of great happiness, delight, or pleasure: The lake was heaven.
Here :
Heaven means — The sky or universe as seen from the earth
According to the Big bang theory:
The Universe experienced an unbelievable explosion from the hot cloud of gas and dust (nebula), that were forming the universe.
the hot gases
compact ball of hydrogen — protons, neutrons, electrons, and their anti-particles — plus radiation. There were not differentiated planets, stars, suns, galaxies. Five billion years ago, the compact hydrogen soup blasted apart with huge force, matter was hurled in all directions, and hence universe came into existence.
So verse completely indicating the whole solar system and the common origin oh earth and heaven and as one unit of creation. They were not different entity.
Big bang is saying that everything created from singularity.
So My humble request to the atheist, before going to find out the error in The Qur’an you should have knowledge of Arabic language. And don’t find out the error from translation of The Qur’an.
The Qur’an itself encourage to find the mistake.
